Thanks for the spec sheet MDCLXVI.  The TH-600 appear to be less sensitive than the TH-900 at 94db/mw, compared to the 100db/mw for the TH-900.  A tad lighter to at 370g as well (400g for TH-900's).

Since regrettably selling my D7000's, I've been looking for a replacement and these look to fit the bill.

Keep the information coming.

From that link (http://www.fostex.jp/news/326) someone just posted :

TH600 will feature the same eggshell membrane protein material for pads as the TH900, namely Idemitsu Grancuir.

● optimize the acoustic performance I improve the dispersion and damping of the resonance by Piezon'Chit'o[*Shi] was applied to the inside of the housing.

(So it's not just empty inside the magnesium cups; there is Piezon Chito[*Shi] applied)

And it uses their latest "Bio-dyna" drivers, which designation was never applied to the "Microfiber" diaphragm of the D7000 as far as I've looked into it when I was anticipating the TH900.

A look inside the TH900 for comparison (it's not empty either, it looks like cotton wool batting). from this excellent post: http://www.head-fi.org/t/595683/fostex-th900-impressions-discussion-thread/2790#post_9006193

Always seems weird to me that various $2000 headphone uses what looks like simple cotton wool batting. Just looks so cheap to me even if it works properly, I expect some futuristic structural *insert fancy advertising term* cotton web or something. Like my LCD-2's have a piece of black felt covering the driver.

Be glad it's not toilet paper.
