Holy poop! No wonder they didn't show that during the telecast. That is just bloody horrific.

Probably another reason they didn't publicize it is because the marshalls are waving green flag

They where waving double yellow before the corner and green after I believe. Normal procedure.

  Normal procedure.

?

:ambulance::ambulance::ambulance::ambulance::ambulance::rotating_light::rotating_light::rotating_light::rotating_light: that was scary, they should change rules for those vehicles. Safety car when those are on track.

Those vehicles have to be announced by a yellow flag...

What I don't get is why they were there in the first place. Monaco manages each year to get cranes around the track, why can't Suzuka do it as well ?

The yellow flag was only for that corner. The track was green after it. Could argue about SC of course.

That's only 100 times what Ricciardo gets, seems fair considering this years performance.

Oh man. That was horrific.

Can't blame the sport really. These guys know each time behind the wheel could be their last, at least they should or they shouldn't be in the sport.

That's what one signs up for. Same as military personnel, fire fighters and police officers. Don the uniform and die in glory.

Hmm, not really. We're not the 60's anymore.

The last death in formula 1 occurred 20 years ago (Maria de villota not included), that's quite amazing.

I'd rather have a 120mph frontal collision within an F1's than a 60mph one in an E-Class

Anybody who actually believes that being in a600kg  projectile traveling 340Kph in traffic is SAFE, needs their head examined.
