Abbey Road (1969) by The Beatles - Some truly classic music before bedtime as I'm having an early night. Just finished listening to Come Together which sounded ridiculously good through the RS-1x and now onto Something. I'll only get through a few tracks tonight, so will revisit tomorrow, an amazing album.
😁 … RS-1x will not hear of early nights 😡

Espressivio/Focal Clear OG

Watching/Listening/Groovin'/Dead&Co live from Citie Field in Queens NY. These guys are outrageously good this tour (very spotty prior to this tour....). :relieved:

From Allmusic:

Kenny Burrell's guitaristry is well-documented on his first dates as a leader on the Blue Note label, but God Bless the Child, his only date for CTI in 1971, is an under-heard masterpiece in his catalog. Burrell's band for the set includes bassist Ron Carter, percussionist Ray Barretto, Richard Wyands on piano, flutist Hubert Laws, trumpeter Freddie Hubbard, and drummer Billy Cobham. CTI's house arranger, Don Sebesky, assembled and conducted the strings in a manner that stands strangely and beautifully apart from his other work on the label. Sebesky understood Burrell's understated approach to playing guitar; Burrell didn't belong with the fusioneers, but he could groove better than any of them. Sebeskybuilt a moody, atmospheric soundscape behind him, one that was as impressionistic as it was illuminating of a player who could dig in and chop it up -- as he does on his own composition, "Love Is the Answer," and "Do What You Gotta Do" -- and stroke it smooth and mellow, as on the title track, the truly sublime "Be Yourself," and Thad Jones' "A Child Is Born." This is Burrell at his level best as a player, to be sure, but also as a composer and as a bandleader. Magnificent.

I am 100% indifferent to iFi. I do not own your products. My point has nothing to do about liking you (or not).

My understanding of Head-Fi rules is that Members of the Trade are not supposed to post advertisements into threads.

  • Each time you post, you have an attachment with a banner advertisement (as you know) inserted within your post - that appears below your post and within the thread(s) content stream.

I think you should remove it. There is plenty of banner advertising on this site, as is. It is nice that within the threads (content) there is not advertising inserted in-stream.

Just one persons opinion, but if every MOT did what you are doing (via attachment), the churn rate of Head-Fi members would be sky high

I am done on this subject. Just my opinion.
I don't see a goddamn thing :D

But I agree with you. Cos that's the one thing I can see.

There's nothing like a little ARS and Grado RS-1 buttons to soothe the soul. :L3000: after a long hectic week. One more day to go. 🤨

The Road Of Bones (2014) by IQ - Some real, full on prog-rock for my pre-bedtime listening session. Normally I get as far as the track Road of Bones and start hitting replay but tonight I've let it play and I've been well pleased with what I'm hearing. Depth, separation and imaging are done well by the RS-1x and the timbre is very agreeable too. All in all a fine album and well worth a listen.

Today is a return to an old friend, the HiFiman HE6se V2. As an added treat, an album that I pre-bought a while ago dropped today.
If you like guitar rock, check out the new album by Aryon Jones, called Chronicles of the kid. Warning, his music may not be safe for work.
