Jada is like Rose from the movie Titanic. She would let you freeze in the cold Ocean too. Rose had room for Jack to get on also. She has no soul but yet has taken many.Come into my arms, Jada, you are so cold there!

The Dream of the Blue Turtles by Sting - New 24/192 release of his first solo album and what a masterpiece it is, just as good as anything he did with the Police, if not better. It's noticeable how different it is to his Police work, the compositions are far more varied and drawing from many genres. My favourites are Russians, which is probably even more relevant today than it was back then and If You Love Somebody, Set Them Free, probably the poppiest song on here and the one that sounds the most like the Police. The HiFiMAN HE400is got the nod for this album and the Sting albums set to follow, they are nicely detailed, have decent mids and take my sub-bass shelf EQ very well.
"Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends..."BTW, how do you like the Dekoni Sheepskins on the HE400i? Any noticeable changes to the sound? I was all set to try the Elite Suede on mine, but now you have me wondering...
For tonight I have the Hifiman HE400is plugged into the JDS Labs El Stack 2+ being fed bit-perfect, hi-res audio goodness from Qobuz and my laptop. The HE400is make a great match for listening to classic rock and related genre albums from the 60s and 70s that can sometimes have a bit of a thin or sucked out sound to them because, despite being plenty detailed, they have a certain forgiving quality to the mids in particular that really helps pull a great sound from those albums.
Up in my album queue is an all-time prog great from 1973, Emerson, Lake, and Palmer's classic Brain Salad Surgery. I'm not going to go into a long description of what I like on this one (what a relief right? ). It's just a solid album and if you like prog, rock, classic rock, or just solid musicianship and songwriting then you'll probably enjoy this album.

Good album, I remember the day I bought it on vinyl in '73. My favourite of theirs though is Trilogy, I love The Endless Enigma.BTW, how do you like the Dekoni Sheepskins on the HE400i? As for the HE400i's, I think it was the Elite Sheepskins for HE series that I bought, angled pads and non-fenestrated - the originals literally fell off after 12 months. They flattened out the bass which was nice and together with my stacked bass shelves (1.5db @ 120Hz, 1.5db @ 80Hz and 1.5db @ 40Hz) they create a pretty excellent sound for the price.
