For those of us with multiple headphones, which ones are you listening with now?

One of the most adventurous big band albums I've ever heard. It's obviously jazz but I could detect many genres blended at various places in this work: avant-garde classical music, blues, r&b, and so forth. The sonic quality is also outstanding. Clear, balanced, and spread out on a spacious soundstage, with wide dynamic range in perception.

Do you know when you fall in love with an album and you listen to it again, again and again? That happened to me with this incredible Sipiritual Front's album :L3000:

I'm listening to it with my new headphones (I bought them here in the classifieds ): Hifiman Drop HE 5XX... They are my first planar headphones and I'm loving them... Should that be good or will I enter in the planar rabbit hole?:sweat:

….rognir….rognir….

Interesting combination.... :sunglasses:
It works extremely well. The outer space / vacuum background silence of battery powered RA-1 augments LCD-X’ detail retrieval without sending it to ‘etched’ or ‘hyper’ levels. Excellent tonal balance and imaging! The Mahavishnu’s guitar playing is rendered even more astounding - with amazing accompaniment. 😳🙂

You are getting good use out of that little wooden music box :musical_note:

I have to re-engage my search for one of those units

JRiver MC (PC) > SMSL SU9 > SMSL SH9 > Grado SR325x - the return of the heatwave negates the use of anything bulkier

Great renditions. Very elegant, fluid, sensitive, possesses clarity and displays all the twists. Also faithfully conveys its brighter and darker sides, nuances and ambiguities.

What I love my Sus with this album is they let me realize how even the piano's sound was from top to bottom, revealing that the Steinway D was recorded well. The lower notes were satisfyingly round and full, and all the notes floated in the headspace as if emerging from a realistically sized concert grand.
