What you think of your Vali 3?
Really enjoying it. It responds well with tube rolling. I have a W 396A in it, which is kind of ridiculous when looking at only pricing of the Vali 3 vs. the 396. But, at least for me, it is well worth it. I've been using that tube for awhile with the Vali 2++ and really enjoying that combo. But the Vali 3 with the 396a is a noticeably better combo. Seems to be that the timbre is more "solid" (smoother??). The bass seems better than the V2, as well as better instrument separation. YMMV.

Currently listening to the Focal Elex through my Schiit Magnius with my SMSL SU-8 10th Anny decoding the optical out from a Wiim Mini. Just a basic rig with a solid pair of headphones that does a great job getting out of the way and serving up the music when that's what I'm looking for.

On deck in the queue is another album that's only a few days old: Cloud Sculptors by Full Earth. I believe I tagged this album for a listen after spotting it as a rec on the Prog Rock thread so I have only listened to about a track and a half at this point, but I'm really diggin' what I'm hearing. Just driving rock with chugging rhythm guitar and thunderous drums that features some pretty cool proggy flourishes/influences. I'm stoked to hear where this album goes as it keeps building track by track.

To those about to rock, I salute you! 🤘😎

After a couple of somber years following the death of Jerry Garcia in 1995, the Grateful Dead originals Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart joined up with long time friends and occasional band touring mates Bruce Hornsby (vocal, keyboard), Steve Kimock (lead guitar) and 3 new mates Mark Karan (guitar), Dave Ellis (saxophone), John Molo (drums) to form this new iteration “The Other Ones”. This live album is the epitome of how well the band reformed into the Dead. All the hits are played with the same wonderful jamming flow and style as before. As Deadheads my friends and I were thrilled to see them back them back and they didn’t miss a beat in concert. This is one of my all time favorite live albums and a great recording.
True to form the ZMF Auteurs are singing this wonderfully from the Liquid Platinum with the Amperex ECC82 Bugleboys. Very pleased :L3000:

On the HarmonicDyne Zeus Elite. This chain really shines with slightly bright, slightly thin, slightly rough production. Smooths it all out and adds a little body.

Whipping up some French omelette in the morning. So felt like some French music would be ideal.

Not that I learnt, but French is the most popular foreign language learnt in India. Meanwhile the omelette is looking like hell, hopefully tastes okay. Va te faire foutre!

A rock supergroup of Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), John Paul Jones (ex Led Zeppelin) and Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters ex Nirvana), quite a collaboration. That being said it's definitely Josh Homme in the driving seat with Jones and Grohl doing what they are really, really good at, being a pretty fantastic rhythm section. This came up as one of roon's recommendations service, which I am finding to be incredibly good. It's the same engine that carries on playing music after an album or playlist finishes and I'm yet to notice it taking over, the transition is so smooth and well chosen. I had to pick up the RS-1x for this one, it's the kind of music that really makes them sing

Back over to the Neo 5, needed something a little more relaxed… really wish they would release a full album.
