For a set budget, IEMs, buds, or supraaurals?

I find circumaural headphones too sweaty, so I'm currently looking around for alternatives. My questions:

1. How hot do supraaural headphones get? I've tried clip-ons before and they seem ok, but I've never tried the ones with headbands.

2. Generally speaking (or at least around the $50 mark), do we get better bang per buck from IEMs, earbuds, or supraaural headphones? Or are they pretty much on par with each other?

For reference, with $50 I can get Yuin G2A / PortaPro / PX100 on the headphones side or... many things on the IEM side (MEE A151 / Xears TD-III being the most recent deals, PL50 / Brainwavz M2 if we're talking normal prices).

i think bang-for-buck there's no one category (i.e. earbuds) that are better than another..i think you need to further specify what you're looking for - what type of sound, music you listen, isolation important?, etc. i like the pk3 or if you can stretch your budget a little bit pk2 - great bang for buck
