JuSt received my brand new set with the new packaging and cable . Out of the box it actually sounds a lot smoother than i expected . Don’t know if it’s the new cable or the Hugo tt2. When I first demoed the Utopia last year I used a dap(Cayin N8) , and I felt it was too bright , so didn’t get along with it too much .
This new pair actually sounds fantastic out of the box .. Will see if burn in will change the sound a bit .

It’s just an update package in line with Stellia, which includes a carry case and balanced cable. What’s unique here is that it has the Lemo connectors for the Utopia. I’m still trying to see if we can purchase this cable from Focal.

Had the Focal Utopia's a few weeks now and am thoroughly enjoying them. I know they talk about diminishing returns the further you go up the hi-fi ladder but there a huge step up from my Audeze Lcdx's. Listening to the new Teyana Taylor album with a full set of Mullard tubes on my Auris ha2-se amp. Not a hint of treble fatigue, powerful hard hitting bass. Her vocals are much further forward than the lcdx's and have a resolution and transparency that the Audeze's can only hint at.

seriously, i haven't noticed any change in the utopia's sound over time and i've had mine since 2017 (and also had the drivers replaced)

What happened to require that?

here we go again...

Well ok smart ass.

Thanks for answering Up Late.

In future, perhaps when you make reference to replacing your drivers you simply add ‘..due to failure’ to the end of your sentence.

Context helps when making such a statement and it’s not like everyone has studied the 800 page thread to understand your specific circumstances.
