Tx. I meant Studio Six VS
top Woo Audio or other top tube amps
and other top SS amp?

Looking for top dog for my Utopia in the near future, 4k-5k range.

I plan to use a Yggdrasil hooked to either a Cavalli Liquid Glass or Gold; to drive my Utopia.:)

To be honest, I haven't noticed any improvement with "break-in" on the Utopias. They sound fantastic straight out of the box.

Mine sounded pretty nice right out of the box too, but after 150+ hours I think they sound even better. Treble is a touch smoother, mids are a little warmer, bass a little more sharp and defined. It's not a HUGE change, and might just be happening inside my head, but I think there is some extra goodness happening after those 150+ hours.

I can confirm the same. It's fatiguing to listen to the utopia out of the box but after approx 50 hours this has been resolved.

Good information. Thanks for sharing it.

Are you using the 4pin XLR or the L/R balanced output?

4 pin XLR.

I plan to get a Norne Audio Silvergarde cable to compliment my Utopia.

Cool...I haven't heard that one. I did get to hear about 3 or 4 aftermarket cables at RMAF and the Moon Audio Silver Dragon V3 was the best sounding one to my ears.

Edit: Misread the quote and thought it was Bob getting the Utopia. Cheers and congrats to those of you who have received theirs or have them incoming.

Wish I could but there's no way, considering my financial situation, that I can afford even thinking about the Utopia.

No need to with your current setup, which is already potentially end-game.

You make a good point and I'm quite grateful for what I have.  It certainly is the best sounding setup I've ever owned and I've been at it for a good six years +.   Thanks Liu.

You'll only be able to use maybe 1/8 - 1/4 of the volume pot with the LAu, unless you like it really loud. :)
