Where do you see them listed as authorized?

There is a dealer locator on Focal.com. Think about it for a second, don’t you think I know who is and isn’t? I mean we are a Focal dealer and launch partner so I kinda have a clue. But seriously they are a dealer and you’re safe making a purchase from them. .....cheers!

Yeah I just checked. Not there!

They came up in a conversation I had today with FocalNA along with others. It’s how I found out that Focal was cutting back on dealers. As of 4pm Pacific time today they were an authorized dealer. I’d say that’s good enough for a good purchase if you want to buy from them. Seriously they really are an authorized focal headphone dealer.

Edit: I should add I don’t have any idea who is or isn’t going to be a dealer after they down size their dealer base. Manufacturers and dealers don’t have conversations about other dealers other than to disclose new dealers or like if I ask “is so n so still a dealer?” that sort of thing.

Hence my prior comment that Focal needs to keep the dealer locator up to date, especially if they are going to have all these restrictions. Jason, maybe you can suggest they do keep the dealer locator up to date?

Amazon doesn’t sell Focal.

A small correction: Amazon does sell Focal through a third party. You can currently get the Utopia, Clear and Elear.

I have no idea, however, what level of warranty you can get from Focal if you buy from Amazon via third party. I know from many years buying from them, that the return because of any iproblem is almost automatically accepted.

I appreciate that. My point was Amazon doesn’t sell them and I’m being told that even authorized dealers won’t be able to sell on amazon.

Actually, Amazon's return policy does not apply to 3rd party sellers. Most of the time, Amazon Sellers will have the same return policy as Amazon, but you have to be sure to check for each individual seller. Here's what Sellers may choose to charge up to in restocking fees in their return policies:

I pulled what looked like sex dresses and bio/chemical/nuclear canisters you'd see on 24 out of the package. Needed to be told they were actually innocuous waist (s?)trainers and lamps. Wouldn't it be something if something happens to the package on its way back and I have trouble getting my money back. I had already looked at their listed inventory and found it, let's say eclectic, but was still surprised.

A very, very similar thing happened to me going thru an Amazon reseller. I ordered an Edition X and received a hot pink animal print bustier instead, and it took about a month to get the charge cancelled. Something scammy is going on with that, though I can't reason through why this is done...

Hahahahaha interesting way of saying it. My brother and I own an investigations company. We were asked to take a look at possible illegal sellers. 16 unauthorized Focal sellers in 10 minutes. In this search we found 11 unauthorized chord dealers and 5 unauthorized Audeze dealers. I think that there are a lot of scammers and that you guys need to be careful and do your diligence before buying

I doubt they are knock offs. I just think if something breaks you could be screwed.
