Dealer markup on Focal headphones up to 50%. These are likely open box and the dealer can still make profit. This is why it’s important to support your local hifi shops. What the hell
It was actually one store from a chain that ended business and all the remaining stock was on heavy discount. So maybe not so profitable...

Utopia will perform "fine" out of virtually any source with a reasonable amount of power - it is not hard to drive. But Utopia scales incredibly well, and incredibly obviously, with higher quality and/or more powerful amps. Sort of like how you can eat a microwaved chicken finger and it's "fine", but a chicken finger that is properly deep fried and dipped in honey mustard sauce is on the "next level". That's sort of how Utopia works.
Am at 100-105 volume on WM1ZM2, SE but recon it would sound much better with more power even though the 4.4

In case there are Utopia 2022 owners active here, who want to try a Harman based profile.
My preset. Based on Oratorys.
Adjust band:
2 for bass
3 for punch
5 for mids / shoutiness
6 for treble
11 for sibilance / detail
Here a small explanation, which change
i made to Hamann:
Band 2 - Bass shelf -2.5dB
(reduction bass total)
Band 3 - Bass peak + 1.5dB at 150Hz
(Increase in PHYSICALLY perceptible slam.
Instructed by Dan Clark. Video from 15:00 min.)
Band 4 - 210Hz peak +0.5dB
(Add some warmth)
Band 5 - 1270hz Peak -2dB
(Reduction of shoutiness. Makes the overall sound warmer and more pleasant).
Band 6 - high shelf 1800Hz -0.5dB
(Subtle reduction of the overall high)
Band 11 - 9500hz peak -1db
(Subtle reduction of silbilance)
Band 12 - 13000Hz high shelf -0.5dB
(Subtle reduction of airness)
Added hpf @ 19hz, Q 0.71, to protect driver from very low frequencys (and minimize mechanical clipping).
This also makes the whole sound more precise.

Can confirm.. this is great work/eq!
Jus received my Utopia 2022 today, already sound great OOTB, speed and resolution are spectacular. Perhaps a bit more / looser bass than I expected and less treble air, but I know some burn-in (driver +/- brain) needed. What have others found is the needed burn in time for these to hit their true stride, and what changes might I expect? Thanks!

Anyone torn between WM1ZM2 and Uniti Atom HE?
I was unimpressed by Atom HE with Utopia. It is warmer sounding source and my modest Qutest -> Luxman P1u bested it. If you don't mind two boxes instead of one you can get better bang for $ than what Atom offers. For all in one solutions your options shrink, but I was still not sold on Atom. Utopia is not hard to drive and if you don't have a DAP I would go that route for better portability. Atom did not feel as obvious upgrade to my old Shanling M6 Pro DAP as my desktop setup
Is this set with ROON?In case there are Utopia 2022 owners active here, who want to try a Harman based profile.

How much should headroom adjustment(db) be set? -3db?

You mean the preamp?
You have to orient yourself to the highest peak.
In this case at least -4dB
If you increase band 2 by for example +6dB,
the preamp must be set to -6dB
