Focal Utopia General Discussion

For what it’s worth, my Utopia is the 2020 version and I haven’t experienced any issues with the driver, ear pads or headband. These headphones are phenomenal sounding.
I absolutely love the Utopia and also own the 2020 version- unfortunately just had to send in for repair because of bass rattle on the left channel. Unfortunate, but sending in for a fix was easy. Turn around time is around 4 weeks which...sucks.

Is the Utopia still worth considering in 2021? Just worried about getting something so expensive and having it be replaced by a new one within a year :frowning2:

Or much sooner

Highly doubtful. People have been suggesting they have inside info on a Utopia update for over two years. Haven’t been right to date.

After hearing what you’re all saying, I think I’m starting to agree regarding whether to wait for a Utopia successor or not.

There’s no telling that the successor will be better and even if it is, at this level, it’s all about preference more than anything. I highly doubt they would change the overall sound of their flagship as well.

I think if I can get a good deal on one from my dealer (I dont care if it’s the old packaging), ill go for it. If it’s not a great deal, might as well wait a few months and see where we are.

IF there's a Utopia successor soon, it will likely cost 5k retail. You would have to choose between that and <2k for a used Utopia..😊
