I got to try the U22 out of the dcs lina stack today.
it is really very good. clean and transparent. I was half worried I'd be missing out without the lina stack, but when I got home, fired up the wa33 and there is no more fomo.
the wa33 + elrog 5u4g + U22 is a fantastic combo. I didn't think the U22 would/could get any better but it does..

Much more surprised me in this price segment the Zähl HM1 with his features,but is only my opinion on it

Has anyone here done a side by side comparison of the Lazuli Reference and Reference Plus cables on their 2022's?
just received the Cardas Clear hp cable and it's lovely. really light and flexible. I like how there are separate lengths from the XLR plug to each cup, with spaced out plastic binders. there is also an adjustable Y splitter that can slide up and down.
sounds great out of the box! low end seems somewhere in between AC Aeris and DHC Prion4, and mids and top end between Aeris and Palladium. going to try it with the Solitaire P later.

Third time around for me, this time with the Nutopia. First two times were with the Gootopia. Currently using @joseph69's Lazuli Reference Plus cable.
Greatly favoring listening to it with the Bricasti M3h headphone-out at the moment, which has an exceedingly clean sound which makes appreciating harmonization between instruments very satisfying. The Bricasti images really nicely and especially so out of its integrated headphone-out. I'm a much bigger fan of the Bricasti DAC as a headphone amp than I ever was by the DAVE, for instance. Anyway.
Also sounds good out of the HA-300 with the Bartok. Much greater delta in warmth on the tube amp (low-z) with the Utopia versus solid state compared to the Susvara, TC, and even the VC (on hi-z). It's a shade too much mid-bass, I think. So I'll probably want to experiment with the tube complement, but yea. The Bartok does better with the tube amp than the Bricasti for sounding more lush and filled-in in the soundstage. The Bricasti has great solidity and 'tonal density' which favors solid state.
Finally, the Utopia is probably too lean out of the AHB2, which may sound obvious (if looked at glibly), but the AHB2 does great for the Susvara, TC, Solitaire P, and even the VC (somewhat). I tend to like the AHB2 better with the M3 than the Bartok for the above reasons, at least on headphones (with speakers, the Bartok acquits itself nicely for its much higher price tag, actually).

I too ordered this cable at a custom length to pair with Utopia 22. On the way from Moon Audio, takes almost a month for them to ship it to me. Good to know its sounds great, I hope I like it too.

anyone else tried the Oratory EQ? was listening to a few albums with and without EQ and I think I prefer without. the EQ cleans up the sound, but perhaps a bit too much (?)..

Typically not a fan of EQ. Imo it tends to compress things and make it just seem off. I can try it sometime this weekend but I’m sure it’ll be consistent with my experience before with EQ. I’d rather tweak with amps, dacs, cables, etc.
