The custom Stelia pads don't affect the mids too much but will bring up the bass very nicely (IMO)..

Thanks for the link. I was looking into Amazon Germany, as I am from Europe and also have a 100 euro voucher there that I want to use. Unfortunately those customer Stelia pads are not available there. Only the Elite ones. I see a lot of people on this forum that loved the Elite sheepskin ones.

In my experience the Dekoni Sheepskin pads add the most bass. The Fenestrated pads are more neutral.

Comparing the graph on dekoni website, seems that the Hybrid one bring more bass but lose more on mids, while the sheepskin ones bring more bass than stock but keep a similar curve to the stock ones. I think the sheepskin went at #1. Thanks!

Good to know. If the hip dac v2 had Bluetooth I would have already bought it. Really like the gryphon but not in budget right now.

Sure, thanks! As for hip-dac 2, we wanted to make it as affordable and portable as possible without skipping on sound quality, but you may takea look at our even smaller GO Blu. It's not as poweerful as hip-dac 2, but substantially smaller and with a BT input

I have sold a lot of the gear on my list.
The 610 has slightly more bass, less treble extension and less refinement and resolution overall. Soundstage and imaging are better on the Elegia as well. ItsI just better in most ways except for weight, but the Focal still feels better balanced and comfortable somehow.

Use them outside ! They are made for it!

Just got them in from the Adorama deal and they sound fantastic through a BTR7 with Wavelet EQ applied. Damn good deal at $300 imo

Sweet deal! I have three pairs of Dekoni Focal pads. The “Stellia” Limited Custom pads are the best for my ears. No more pad swapping for me.

I've seen the weight of Elegias properly for first time, and the ensuring assurance that the padding is such that you never feel that weight really even over a long session. Is this correct?

They're plenty light compared to something like an Audeze or an Abyss. Lots of plastic in the build, so durability is much more of a concern than weight.

The only flaw is that the headband is light gray fabric, so oils from hair or bare skin (bald guys like me) stain the band quickly. Buy a cheap headband cover on Amazon if you ever think you'll resell these.

Yep. And this is the one that I ordered (the large one). I liked it a lot, so I was thinking of getting another (or more) for smaller banded headphones. We'll see.

I also have this large cover on my elegia , mine was the geekria version. I found it quite bulky so lucky for this style you can just remove the sticky back extra padding . Which I'v stuck onto my grado sr125. But agree you have to cover the light coloured headband . Not the best colour.

Does the Elegia also have the same common problem of driver failures?

They worked fine when I last listened to them, I stored them in their original box, and they didn’t work when I got them out last weekend.

I’ve got a lot of pairs of headphones, so they never got played much. I’d guess less than 40 hours.
