Goo Gone is a solvent, and it stinks. This looks like scratches in the metal.
I see the scratches but it also looks to have some sort of yellowish buildup. i could be wrong.

The aluminum appears the be scuffed. It’ll be difficult to polish without adversely affecting the appearance of the logo. You could taped off the area and start with the least abrasive compound, like Fitz. Household items like Mr. Clean’s Magic Eraser, or even toothpaste, can polish superficial scratches, but you might make it worse. The polish areas will turn glossy, whereas the rest of area will remain matted… It might be better to leave it alone.

I fixed it. I was more so concerned with the color. Wasn't sure if it was the metal or not. It ended up being some sort of yellow/ brown filmy substance built up. I just used a couple Q-tips with just a dip of rubbing alcohol and its back to new

Elegia's are back on today. Testing out my new to me Dekoni Ltd. Edition Stellia pads and comparing to my Dekoni sheepskins.

One round through my test list and the sheepskins sound good. Flip over to the Stellia pads and wow! They sound more open and they make me want to try Lots of music. Hmmmm.

If you aren't using a EQ than you really should. The Elegia benefit from it.

Yes I know and they love iFi bass boost. But for testing purposes, I am going basic.

There's something there for sure, we got a lot of feedback that most Focal cans respond very well to our bass boosters.

If you're not careful, you'll end up with a pair of Stellia like I did 🤦🏼‍♂️. Those pads definitely made the Elegia what they should have been from the factory. Enjoy listening to all your music all over again!

really enjoying the Elegia on the Micro BL, with the bass boost it actually rumbles damn good, and with the dac switch you can tone down the treble in second.... the Micro BL is closer than I care to admit to the Oppo HA-1 in forward detail, the HA-1 is still way more refined though
