Try to get a demo session with them before buying, some people have a problem with the Elear's 4k dip. Other than that it should be a huge upgrade from the HD650 imo.
Just wondering if anyone has list or a different link to authorized focal dealers. This is all I can find and it seems kinda small. Also it says car speakers. http://www.focal-america.com/support/
hmm, sounds like the Oppo may not be the right portable can for me then... I'll have to think more about this.
I could just keep my IEM's too, I'm really happy with their sound, just toying with the idea if I could get better SQ from an over-ear. I'll try to demo some other closed-backs in the same price range (Sine, Momentum 2 etc.) to see how they compare against my Noble's and then make a decision. Thanks for your help!
Yeah, perhaps. Tuning preferences are super subjective but there's a lot to like about the PM-3. It is a very dynamic and clear sound that is well-matched with just about every genre except EDM and hip-hop. I don't want to sound too negative about them but, yeah, you might want to look at the Momentums fer sure.
Also, I'd be lying if my current bias isn't affecting the tone of my feedback. I'm in the middle of having my ears blown away by the Elears and not much can compare.

Headphones.com is definitely an Authorized dealer. I bought an Elear from them and had an issue with the Elear baffle (something loose - different from the bass crackling issue reported on this thread) and they helped facilitate the Warranty return. They were very helpful.
