I bought the grey perforated pu leather earpads and will provide pics and feedback when arrive (probably take a month). i also asked if the "sheepskin" leather are animal leather or protein leather and will provide answer when i receive... and probably buy anyway.it's quite inexpensive. why not take 1 for the team?

Another musically coherent & communicative form of EQ for Focal Clear OG :IMHO, here's the winning EQ for Clear (OG)

How does it sound?Another musically coherent & communicative form of EQ for Focal Clear OG : [Grado RA-1 h/p/a: 9v battery]

Detailed with great dynamic range. With the silent / battery DC background, there is neither grain nor tendency to ‘metallicity’ or stridency. Ambience recovery & soundstaging are excellent. Also, with the Focals somewhat higher input impedance (55 ohms vs Grado RS-1x’ 38 ohms), I can use more of the volume knob rotation. How does it sound?

That’s fantastic. No issue with bass performance or reduce spacial resolution and soundstage?Detailed with great dynamic range. No ‘bass oddities’ (!) or spatial shrinkage. What the RA-1 has me thinking about (as a non-EE) is (are) the potential benefit(s) of using XX-volt battery power in an external p/s/u for headphone amplifiers……That’s fantastic. No issue with bass performance or reduce spacial resolution and soundstage?

I would be curious to hear Headamp’s battery powered portable amp if RA1 can drive Clear without issue. Hmmm perhaps I should pick one up.No ‘bass oddities’ (!) or spatial shrinkage. They are sold out…. I would like to compare HeadAmp Pico to RA-1 also. [And to Gilmore Lite II + Golden Reference p/s/u.]I would be curious to hear Headamp’s battery powered portable amp if RA1 can drive Clear without issue. Hmmm perhaps I should pick one up.

I asked the seller of the pads linked after your post and he said the sheepskin ones are real leather but the perforated ones are PUI bought the grey perforated pu leather earpads and will provide pics and feedback when arrive (probably take a month). i also asked if the "sheepskin" leather are animal leather or protein leather and will provide answer when i receive... and probably buy anyway.
I believe 38ohm should give 3-4db boost at 50hz according to the impedance of focal. i guess that might be pleasent tho? That’s fantastic. No issue with bass performance or reduce spacial resolution and soundstage?

Would that not depend on the impedance curve rather than on a nominal value? As dynamic driver h/p, I doubt that Clear and RS-1x have flat impedance curves.I believe 38ohm should give 3-4db boost at 50hz according to the impedance of focal. i guess that might be pleasent tho?
Oh. So the amplifier impedance curve matters aswell?Would that not depend on the impedance curve rather than on a nominal value? As dynamic driver h/p, I doubt that Clear and RS-1x have flat impedance curves.
I checked it from here:

What's the material used in the stock ear pads? Thanks
The stock pads are microfiber fabric.
