Focal Clear headphones

I tried these briefly yesterday, and noticed some sibilance in Sarah Jarosz's Early Morning Light. The employee said they are probably not fully broken in yet (they aren't listed for sale on their website yet, either).
Has anyone experienced this with the Clear, and has it gone away after some time?

Any impressions compared to Ether Flow?

Very nice !!! The case is great and cables are surprisingly light. I only have a chance to listen to them tomorrow but the fit is very confortable.

I auditioned the Clear today, along with the Elear, LCD-X and Ether Flow.

The Clear are the most beautiful, comfortable headphone I've ever used. But compared to the other three, I found them somewhat flat and distant. They lacked the dynamism of the Elear, which I found incredibly engaging, but fatiguing on tracks with vocals. I didn't find the Clear to be lacking in bass though, despite reading that elsewhere.

I found the Ether Flow (which I purchased) to be far more lively and engaging, yet also smoother and more resolving. They sounded a class above the Clear. More expensive of course, but worth the £400 difference.

This is the second time I've heard impressions that the Clear loses some of the dynamic punch of it's siblings. Disappointing, but I'll reserve judgement until my local dealer has stock to try.

After the online research phase, the Clear was the headphone I wanted to like the most. The real-life testing phase proved they weren't the headphone for me. I listen to jazz and EDM. I daresay classical music lovers will thoroughly appreciate the Clear, which was most certainly more, er, clear then the Elear.

Listen to them.

Yep, like I said, that's the plan. Although it doesn't really matter, I have no intentions to buy.

Then it won’t bother you that LMC hasn’t ordered any yet. I’m sure they will at some point.

You are correct, sir. Been talking to the guy I deal with there on and off to see when they expect them in. Mostly curious as to what they fixed (IMO) about the Elear. Plus the cables and case look gorgeous and I'd like to take a peek at those as well.

ahahaha it’s amazing how much I know about what’s going on ...right? Have you ever wondered why?

Food for thought, Focal didn’t start the Clear project thinking how to make the Elear better. They created the Clear to accommodate a different listening style but not to improve on what is already made.

Have I ever wondered why? No, not really, and I'm not really sure where you're going with that/what you're implying.

Second point: Understood, but Focal's intentions behind designing this headphone obviously won't stop me from comparing it to it's siblings, especially the Elear which I had specific gripes with.
