I was also running my Focal Clear OG yesterday, listening to Tool's 10,000 days album and I also have the capra strap, the silver cable from GUcraftsman but in 4.4mm and I also have the elite velour pads from dekoni, I ended up changing them back to the original pads, the elite velour's definitively add a little bit more warm to the sound and they do deal with some of the inconsistencies in the high mids and treble on the OG, but they over do it imho, once EQ, the original pads have a little bit more clarity in the mids that you lose with the velour pads but you don't get the shoutiness on the high mids and occasional peaks that you get with the original pads with no EQ, it's a really smooth experience, in regards to comfort, I generally find them to be about the same, that is, if you feel that the clear is kind of clampy on your head, it's still going to be kind of clampy with the velour pads.My Focal Clear OG, with a new headband installed by Focal USA/Canada (yes, it's black leather on the top, with the original color Alcantara on the bottom), Dekoni Fenestrated Sheepskin pads, the Capra strap, and the GUcraftsman silver balanced cable (on a Woo Audio stand). I am trying out these Dekoni pads and their Elite Velour pads (per Resolve's comparison test). And also playing around with the various EQ settings available in Roon and Morphit, and crossfeed settings...

My chain yesterday was the Cyan 2 - TA-84 OTL Tube amp - iHA-8 on pre-amp mode, it sounded wonderful, it's not the most resolving headphone that I have in my collection but it's one of the most enjoyable listening experiences you can have, really balance and smooth.
