Different iPhones have different maximum output currents. My Creative BT-W4 works fine with a high current OTG and no external power supply on my iPhone MAX but not a regular iPhone.

With iphone 13 and ipad pro (2018) you need external power supply. Using the Apple lightning to usb 3 camera adapter everything works fine with the BTD 600.

I second this on an iphone 14 pro max. I now have both the BTD 600 and the Creative BT-W4, and both of these dongles require external power with the Apple lightning to usb 3 camera adapter. Both work well for me.

According to a Focal Product Manager LDAC still is on the roadmap to be added later on. Unlike T+A who have confirmed this in writing, there has been no formal confirmation from Focal (yet).
