I would also recommend Coldplay. Absolute stellar mastering. They use the best technology straight from 1920s.

+2. Coldplay has been my benchmark for critical listening. with the wrong source vocals tend to be on the shouty side which is a shame...

Introducing THL's latest writer:

A little bit belated, but I would like to formally introduce our latest addition to the THL team: @ryanjsoo. Ryan will be playing a critical role in our team as a specialist with his experience in the more affordable segment. He is a very talented reviewer - maybe not as glamorous as Pinky before him, but his technical analysis is as strong as any of the top rated reviewers I can think of, including myself. When I write, I need to find my inspiration from the product. But it doesn't matter what Ryan gets in front of him, his analysis is spot on, and extremely detailed. He easily meets the criteria of a THL reviewer: honest, straightforward, and of course, strong and thorough at sound analysis. Needless to say, I'm very glad he joined us, and believe he will be crucial in completing the THL team: we are stronger than ever, in 2017 THL is going for #1

That is a special gift. Like you, I also have a hard time writing without finding inspiration from an exceptional product. If it doesn't excite me, I struggle, and my review is usually shorter.

Ryan can lay out any device in great detail. I'm impressed.

I'll check back in at the end of August. I'm very thankful for the time and effort Nic is putting into this project. Even if I never purchase an IEM I look forward to enjoying a good read. I'll see you in August. I'm the kind of guy who refuses to watch a TV series until the final season is over. At the end of August I'll binge read it. Peace out.

well since i consider my taste in tv shows as good as nic's taste in ciems , i suggest you check out this 8-ep show

Legion

i have not been impressed that much by a tv show (and its fresh approach/eyeporn) for a very long time - and i don't get impressed easily anymore

cheers

Legion is INSANELY good film.

tv show - and yes it was ama-******-zing

TV is the new cinema i guess - at least in the area of taking risks and letting the creators run with their vision

Legion may be TV, but it is just good film regardless of the medium.

yeah it plays like a 7-hour film

wasn't it amazing , in the eye-candy sense ? (but without being eyeporn for the sake of eyeporn)

Yes I will definitely watch it. I first heard about it when I heard Lisa Hannigan had done a cover of Bowie's "Oh! You Pretty Things." It's in the soundtrack. I hope the show doesn't last too long. I won't look at it until the FINAL season is available.
