I listened to both at Canjam - Katana and Encore. My favorite was Encore, almost on the point of buying the Encore but when I listened to Aether afterward...it's just plain better and it was shocking for 2 years old iem.
Not sure where all the hype for Noble came from...

I concur; I too prefer the Encore over the Katana. Back when the original K10 came out, both its sound and build/cosmetics were unprecedented, eventually amassing the FAR overstated "20-something-5-star-reviews" on Head-Fi. The difference is, everyone else has pretty much caught up now, and what they have to offer isn't so far high up a pedestal anymore.

Back then Noble k10 was a good iem but not best, didn't justify me switching from JH13FP and the asking price was horrendous. It's clearly overhyped.

i think the current promo is to celebrate wizard's 45th birthday, not the noble audio company itself
I realized this and edited my mistake. It's sad to see Heir audio is not permitted on this forum

There used to be a time where that age seemed "old"... Oh no... Just realised I am getting to "middle aged"! Before you know it people will start taking me seriously and I would have to become *shudders* "responsible". :astonished:

totally agree to this, it's really unfortunate to miss the impression and review for their lineup. the chance to audition their lineup itself is really rare for me and many people i think.
i don't even really remember what is their TOTL right now i think it still Heir 10.0

It's still 10a , last time I checked outside of headfi, it got many good impressions vs other totl . I would tell them and many other ciem companies out there to send their Totl to Nick for review in this shootout because this is the biggest chance for them to be known.

Ted is sending a demo that has a minimum of 200 hours of burn in. How much burn in do you think they need?

I have not received them yet to have a listen for myself. Looking forward to hearing them.

That is a start. I probably have more than that, closer to 300-350.
