boy. I don't think I'm the right person to ask -- I really didn't get the full experience lol. I had to settle with the grey and clear Ulf, the red and black filters when plugged sounded congested in contrast to the grey and clear filters.

I suspected it had to do with the fit. If I'm not mistaken the person before me or the one that succeeded felt underwhelmed because of the ergonomics. I think I'm gonna avoid memory wire from now on because my balanced fidue cable didn't do me favors as well.

Or do you have any other solution (for the lazy people here who dont want to clean them every week) 

Yes, indeed most Complys come with a wax-guard.
Either way, I clean mine every 4-5 weeks in case there is some wax clogged. It's really not that bad.

Another question to those FLC8s owners:

I dont find that much many good images for this, is the IEM quite big? Does it stick out that much?
Can you lay on side in bed for example with these in?

its not big... fits my medium ears perfectly... and yes you can lay on your bed with these... 

this is the best fit of all my iems

They're fairly compact, especially given the filter system, removable cable, and that there are three drivers crammed in there. They sit just flush enough for me to lay on my side with them in, but it's not as comfortable as other earphones used like that.
 
Added the cable down pic because they work just fine that way too. Looks weird, but they're comfortable and stable. Microphonics are exaggerated though.

I lie on my side with these all the time.  It works just fine using JVC Spiral Dot tips. 
 
My most comfortable pair for laying down are the Carbo Tenores; but the FLC8S. is a guilty pleasure so I put up with a tad less comfort for the musical adventure. 
 
Much more comfortable for laying on your side with one ear on the pillow than the LZ-A4 which has a lot of buzz right now.   Not trying to knock the LZ-A4 at all; just would not use those for napping purposes.

Jeah I have the A4, and since they are quite big (and the highs are not perfect texture wise) I am thinking about switching to Fidue A83 or FLC8s

the tuning and resolution on the highs on the flc8s are the best in this price range. dn2000j being the other contender.

I get the A83 for roughly ~90-100€ cheaper than the FLC8s
the bassimpact may be better on the A83
(I dont have to clean the A83 (lazy me))

Brooko Would have to be the right person to ask since I haven't heard the A83. Maybe if we ask nicely, he can steer you towards what you're looking for (depending on what you're looking for).

The thing is, at the beginning on my journey to find the right IEMs 1-2 weeks ago, I already contacted him once and maybe annoyed him with my amateur-ish questions 

 
I am looking for great bass impact in mid and subbass, but not that insane basshead level. the iBasso IT03 were too less, the LZ-A4 were (with red back) very good, but sometimes a bit too much. The Sennheiser IE80 felt too bloomy, not very tight and well pronounced in the bass area
The Highs on the LZ-A4 are not perfect in texture/smoothness. But the highs dont have to be sibilant, like I had on the IT03 or the Orivety New Primacy
And it would be nice if they wouldnt stick that much out as the A4.
good soundstage / separation would be nice.
The T20 mids and highs were nearly perfect considering soundstage, resolution and smoothness, but the bass is a tiny bit too less and the thich memory wire is very annoying.
The "normal" memory wire like on the IT03 is not a problem

Nah - its OK.  If you get a delay in me replying, its because my paid work has got insane lately (I've been essentially covering 2 jobs and clocking 60-70 hours a week).
 
Here's my thoughts on some options.

 
The A83 are the red - decent bass, elevated upper-mids - V shaped, but very good for vocals.  Gold is the DN2000 - one of the flattest monitors I have.  Mild V, elevated lower end, great sub-bass - personally while I enjoyed it, I found the mids a little boring.  Technically excellent though.  Blue is Aedle ODS-1.  Warm and bassy signature - really good mid-range - surprising how good they sound, but ultimately not my signature.
 

 
Orange is the FLC8S with red/black/gold filters - a lot of sub-bass thump, very good vocal clarity.  And here's your two dark horses, and the two I would recommend.  Green is the Earsonics ES2 - dual BA, good bass response (I personally like BA bass for its speed and timbre rendition), very good extension - natural sounding, good clarity, but also smooth.  Purple is the Alclair Curve - one of the most under-rated IEMs out there.  Strange shape but supremely comfortable to wear. Dual BA. Very good bass, really nice upper mid-range and plenty of extension without the brittleness.  For $250 it is a steal.  I will never part with mine.

but can the BA driver deliver bassthump?
Isnt that why often times they use dynamics for the bass?

The two seem way better than the FLC8s. flatter in the ear, (dont have to clean them 

) and a bit better bass response towards the midbass than the subbass. And cheaper  hehe

Bass thump is frequency related - not the type of driver.  And yes, they definitely can.
