Thanks, Did You mention in french forum about new MF/HF filter developed by FLC?

Forrest Wei told me in april that he had "upgraded the gold bore". So he sent me the new golden nozzle... and I must confess that I found it just slightly different from the former one -- maybe a touch warmer and a little bit brighter at the same time, but nothing dramatic.

IMHO the filters set lacks a bass plug between the clear and the grey ones, the latter being already too bassy for my taste...

I love the green filter, it's a bit bright cuz it extend the treble a little bit, the soundstage is more spacious with ...

Can anyone take a photo of the FLC8/FLC8s while worn over the ear? Preferably both a straight shot and a side-profile shot. I want to see how far they stick out, and how they look in the ear in general. I haven't been able to find any in-ear photos of these in-ears

 Thanks!!

Considering upgrading to these from my Sony XBA-40s.

Yes, I've had nothing but a stellar experience with Teo and LMUE!

Really looking forward to testing out the FLC 8S. I've tried a few other tune-able IEM recently: RHA T10i & T20 and Torque t096z single dynamics and Trinity Delta dual hybrid. It's a great concept and works well if the manufacturer really puts in the time fine-tuning the filters. Really an added-value idea IMHO.

And Forrest and Teo deliver!!!

I popped them in for a quick listen, and they were quite energetic in the stock configuration - med sub, max bass, max mids, and med treble. They're on the pink noise rig now.

Here are some pics for those who haven't experienced the FLC 8(S) yet:

The box is crazy origami-like

First fold it up to reveal the IEM

Then fold it sideways to reveal the accessories - can you tell Forrest Wei likes bright blue

Here are the FLC 8S in their metal screw-top case. They're pretty small, lightweight, and comfy with 2-pin cables.

You get a bunch of tips, a couple adapters, and a cleaning tool

And here are all the tuning filters and plugs. They're quite tiny, and FLC actually provides a tweezers to manipulate them.

After I'm done with them, I'll be sending them out on a US review / impressions tour to get the word out about these. @hakushondaimao will be coordinating a parallel Canadian tour. I'll create a tour thread soon, so keep an eye out. If you're interested and want to express interest before I create the tour thread, feel free to shoot me a PM. No butter-fingers need apply!!!

Fun times, my friends!

Cheers,
Nikolaus

These are nearly my favorite universals (2nd only to SE846) and my favorite hybrids by far. I've been enjoying them for half a year now, glad they're getting some recognition here at last. Favorite config is red (+) sub-bass, grey (=) mid-bass and gold nozzle (+mids, =treble).

Would there be any sound changes to the FLC8S?

I think there were some tweaks to improve coherency, but mostly cosmetics and new cable.

I have heard rumblings of a new flagship product from FLC...

Cable looks fancier!

A new flagship would be great news. Moving onwards and upwards.

And I see the LMUE sales page is updated to the FLC8S only now. The old one cost SGD430 so I guess the extra went to cables and more research.
