Ooh interesting, thought the 5-way was the only one. Man their designs must be really complicated with the 7-way crossover and all the tubes then.. Or is that a different model
True looks like spagetti inside,LOOKED cool.

That's cool, I've been refused by a couple of audiologists because they were so confused by the concept. Only used to making impressions for their own products.. The audiophile community is still on the smaller side in this country hehe

Quite so. It's pretty hard to find places here where they're even familiar with the concept of CIEMs.

Right, in the place where I live there's no freaking way you can audition an iem and a model like SE535 is considered to be a complete totl one

Travel agencies should offer an ''all-in totl iem auditioning HK trip'' over here

I pay 25 euro in total, so that would be 12,50 each ear?

Just kidding. It was hard finding a place that finally accepted I just wanted the impressions to send over myself and was not interested in their hearing aids or soundplugs. But now I have a place where a sweet little lady knows me and I get a 2 for 40 euro deal sometimes if I know there is something else coming within weeks.

The impressions are very good, most important is the viscosity of the material I believe and that they make impressions of the outer ear as well.

The worst part is the shipping time; if they are stuck in transit too long they start to shrink. Two weeks is fine, but at 4 weeks they are far too small (which was the case with my first custom). And from Europe you almost always have to ship to Hong Kong, America, Singapore etc. - across the globe.

Yup Yup I'll ask him when I get my impressions done. He's apparently famous for doing impressions for a lot of artists and celebrities, old man he is. He even handles Ultimate Ears directly so he's pretty good. He should be able to tell me if I have average ears or not.
dont forget to take photos of your impressions from different angles and against a sort of scale/measuring paper and email them to SE before actually shipping them. Get a green lights for the quality of the impressions. In your case, also measure the ear canal width so they can tell you if you're ok with the 5 bore design.

I paid €10 and €12 per ear for my impressions but learned from a contact here on headfi about a place in Brussels to get them for half price :D

Do silicones feel warmer in your ear than acrylics?
