Has anybody else experienced an issue with Fiio Music starting automatically (it happens to me while I'm using Neutron) and, if so, were you able to make it stop? FWIW, I'm running firmware ver. 1.0.6 and Fiio Music ver. 3.4.3.

Just a thought and observation. Even if FiiO were to stop supporting this hardware, I suspect Fidelizer would continue to support the hardware.

I’m excited to hear perfectdynamics 2.0 with the new firmware. Maybe I can ditch my stack and use the player by itself finally.

if I had the extra money to pick up another X7 mk II I would get the mods done, but I don't right now, and I use music to cope with PTSD. I can't go without my DAP..

I don't care too much about the lack of Viper, but the new player is unresponsive and the EQ doesn't work. What other free players are there out there that someone can recommend?

I've tried to upload a movie showing multiple attempts at an EQ reset and adjusting the sliders with no effect, but at 39mb, the system says it is too big.

a. Set the player to storage mode and connect to computer, drag the downloaded FiiO Music (.apk) to the internal storage of your player.
b. Disconnect the connection and enter ES file manager, find the FiiO Music app in internal_sd and click install.

Oh a different note, I was able to use the new default FiiO music app's Wifi transfer capability to send over non music files such as APK Fiio just provided to the device wirelessly. It lands in a folder of your choosing and all you have to do is run it with a file manager. This is great and a huge improvement for usability.

The sliders are a bit more responsive on the user setting. The responsiveness from going from preset to preset is still awful and difficult. And I am not hearing the EQ do anything

I am using iems on the AM3A module. balanced to fh5's and A83's. only as DAP.

After using the new app for the past few days, just want to comment on those of us who has disconnected cards using Neutron. //

Card slot number 2 doesn't behave like card slot number 1, in the sense that it's a different type of device internally. It's on an external bus and just made to look identical to slot 1 in the UI. After 20 seconds or so of inactivity, slot 2 will go to sleep (slot 1 doesn't and is always available). Due to this, there will be a short "wake and reconnect" period for slot 2 where Neutron will not detect the card in slot 2 and will show the red color in media libraries. The solution for Neutron so far, is just to wait 20~ seconds for the slot 2 to wake and to be recognized again. If you try to resume playing media on slot 2 BEFORE the waking period, it will clear the queue and default back to available media.

I noticed FiiO app deals with this shortcoming by basically becoming unresponsive to inputs until the slot 2 wakes up, for about 10 seconds. That way you'll continue to play what you were playing.
