@FiiO: is it planned to add same modification as Japan firmware in future firmware update?

And when will big Fiio music app update advertised as almost done at the end of June will be released?

Many thanks.
Dear friend,

We have reported to the manager and the engineer about that. Will consider and assess about that first.

If everything goes well, we will release a new firmware for the X7MKII this month.

Best regards

I am new to X7 mkII, I have unknown battery drain issue for my machine. I only installed moov, kkbox, tidal and Onkyo HF player(becoz fiio player is not stable at all). Battery power will be lost over 10% around 5 hrs.

Thank you for the update.
Hopes it will include same changes included in Japan firmware that make it faster.

I thought these are basic stuff

FiiO don't seem to think so. Some users have been asking for replay gain since the days of the FiiO X7 mark 1, but FiiO have just ignored them.
I don't use it myself, nor do I wish to use it, but I can see that it would be useful for some users. Neutron which is available from Google Play Store
does have replay gain.

It is of interest to note that FiiO have not supplied any software/firmware updates since 30th May 2018, but their software "engineers" have never been their strong point.
It was much better in the days of Joe Bloggs, who has recently left Hiby.

A bit off topic but has anyone an idea what's going on at FiiO?
Until mid July they had several news per week on their homepage, since then it was really quiet ...
From the page you mentioned you could see:

We have the new homepage: https://www.fiio.com/

I am interested in upgrading my X7 Mk II as it seems to be needing a reboot to work correctly just about any time I use it. It just needs to get a proper firmware update, as it hasn't worked correctly since I bought it. It sure sounds good, but it needs to be properly guided by a proper firmware update. I am really perplexed when I try to use it as a standalone DAC for my computer's audio system. It is almost like I am torturing myself every time I want to use it as a DAC to drive my computer's audio, while I am content to use my FIIO X5 Mk II as a reliable backup for a DAC. The X5 Mk II just plain works as a standalone DAC. The X7 Mk II simply doesn't, as reliably as the X5 Mk II anyway.

I tried, and failed, to use the workaround to install the 1.07 firmware, so I just plan on waiting for the future, non-Beta release on this forum. Maybe there's a different 1.07 in the works that addresses bugs in the Japanese 1.07 version? How about just call it the 1.08 and be done with it?

Rooting and overclocking my x7 mk2 fixed most of the issues fiio's firmware has had for ever, no more random hangs, no more stop playing in the middle of the album and reset, no more playback issues so far. Have not had to kill/restart fiio music since.

I don't mean to sound short with you, but I don't have any idea of how to do anything you have described. It sounds like the device just needs some engineers to put out a proper firmware that fixes these issues. I don't really feel comfortable risking the device over something that should be taken care of by the developers who manufactured this device. I hope I can get this device to run before the holidays. :)
