FiiO firmware seems to have been an issue since it went over to Android. They really do need to either outsource it or headhunt some talent.

I sometimes wish I had never upgraded from my X5ii. Fast booting, sounded great and with an E12 or E12A, you could drive anything.

I've never the Chord Mojo and living in Jersey, I never will unless I buy one, but I wonder what the X5ii and Mojo would sound like compared to my X7ii?

I've no complaint about the sound of the x7ii. But, I wonder if it would be a marketing master stroke or big mistake if Fiio ditched its music player & bundled a market leading player (Neutron, or whoever) instead? I know I can load these apps in any event but would it not be even better if Fiio worked with such a developer?

Create its own ipr (intellectual property rights) I guess? But, at what cost (money+reputation)? Maybe that is the issue; doing it on the cheap?

If there are better players out there, FiiO should work with one of them, like they did with Dunu with IEM's.

Other players don't natively support DSD playback AFAIK. Personally, I like FiiO's player. I don't really like Neutron's user interface. I'm glad FiiO separated the player from the firmware, so they can update it more often. Let's hope they can fix this problem quickly.

Lyrics without timing information still constantly reset to the start with this version. And I suppose the ASIO delay bug hasn't been fixed either, I'd be really happy if they could fix that one.

Stuff like the sorting issues can't be blamed on the OS, though.

It is kinda ridiculous that they introduced even more bugs of this kind with the latest update. I mean, come on, even the most basic non-audiophile music apps on the play store get this kind of stuff right.

Hi fiio, I've sent a support email as well, a feature I'd love to see as I have a lot of playlists is that when you navigate to a playlist, and then back to the main list of playlists, that it does not go back to the top of the list. Rather when you navigate back, you navigate back to the same place.

Nooooooooo!! What happened @FiiO ? Please fix this is ASAP, its a major bug (gapless means nothing now as example). I like the big cover view but at this moment I wish I hadn't upgraded

And btw, when you switch views the a...z index at right disappears
You have to click out of albums, i.e. artist, return to albums and it shows again
And on big album view, even so, the a...z is there but does nothing

We are sorry that we didn't confrim this issue before releasing that firmware. Our engineers are dealing with this. Will provide a solution as soon as possible.
