4, How soon can we get to use the official version?

The software developing restrictions are less now, so we can speed up the update frequency, basically one new version every week or 10 days.

I believe we won’t keep you waiting for too long.

When a new update to the FW 3.0 Beta?

Hi, JaviAl
The update will come in a few days!

The beta firmware can't be installed. I click on upgrade now and the progress bar goes fast and after that there's no reaction. Can anyone help?

Hi, Andrew Lin
Did you run the "RKUpgradeDllTest.exe" as administrator?

did you connect the device when it was turned off, holding the volume button (top left button)?

Can you share a screenshot of devmgmt.msc after doing this?

I think a "couple" of days was a matter of expression, FW3 wasn't out long enough (at time) to collect significant user feedback, check for consistency of bugs and correct problems. Later they said one week to 10 days so let's await a few more "couple of days" for next update ...

My 2 cents

I think that until the end os this month we will receive the 3.0 firmware. One thing that I can say is: My Dunu DN2000 arrived last week, and I sold my Westone W4R. My AM5 amp arrived 3 days ago. Before it, I have installed the beta firmware. I bought the Mee Pinnacle P1 that will arrive next week. My Unique Melody Mentor is almost arriving too. I'm really impressive with the sound quality of the X7 + AM5 + Dunu DN2000!

That's a great combo. I have Dunu 2000j and Dunu 1K and both sound better than ever. I haven't detached the AM3 in a month now. The balanced out is stunning with the Audeze EL8 and very close to the AM5 in single output.

It's good to hear some positive feedback. I've been dealing with Fiio for quite a few years and they've always delivered.

Is it windows software only, again? Or this time also for Mac OSX users, too?

Search function of 3.02 beta is very laggy.

Otherwise, you must type first letter as capitol letter if your track/artist name start with capitol letter, or else you won't find your song/artist.

I hope this could be fixed.

Thank you FiiO for the next update, but still less bass comapring to fw2.0, especially sub-bass 31 and 62 band, can it be fixed in next update? Maybe like you said, it is how the  new firmware is now so it can not be change, maybe the solution is to increase levels of equalizer from 6db to 12db like in neutron or just make a software bass boost function? Think most bassheads woud be pleased... Anyway thanks for all you works...

I cannot upgrade to the latest beta firmware.

I tried by copying the zip file to the internal storage and clicking on Firmware Update tool (in Technical Support), but I get an error message: "firm error"

I also tried through the device manager by following the instructions on this video:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/4ybisexjhcrf9fr/X7%20Firwmare%20Upgrade%20Instructions.mp4?dl=0

But there is no 'driver' folder in the update folder.

?
