https://www.dropbox.com/s/8ru5pho84qooxbw/X7FW1.1%20ota-update.ZIP?dl=0
The following changes and improvements were made to firmware version 1.1 compared to 1.0:
(to be added)

How to update X7's firmware
Before updating:
1. Make sure that the X7 is adequately charged (preferably fully charged).
2. Switch X7 from Pure Music mode to Android Mode and restart X7 (if not already in Android Mode) so that Android functions may be accessed: pull down settings menu from the right and click Mode button to change from Pure Music to Android and reboot

To update:
1. Connect the X7 to your computer via the provided USB cable
2. Pull down status menu from left, select USB Connected->Turn on USB storage
3. Copy the provided update zip file to an easily accessible location on the X7, preferably the root directory of the external SD card
4. Eject the X7's drives on the computer to cleanly unmount the X7 from the computer; disconnect the USB cable
5. Click on the Home button (middle soft button at the bottom) to go to the Android homescreen and click Support->Update
6. Browse to the update zip file loaded, click on it and click OK to confirm the update
7. X7 will reboot, enter update mode to apply the update, and reboot back into Android when the update is complete.

thank you! I wanted one but the US to Europe cost would ruin the deal pleasure. Didn't think of checking Amazon.de

Does anyone have any experience comparing Mojo to the X7? I'm considering my option from Onkyo because of reasons, and I managed to audition the Mojo. Surprsingly, I still prefer my Note 4 + Traveller combo compared to Mojo. Mojo felt fuller but more fatiguing and more congested, I really like having bigger soundstage. The amp module would probably be useless to me because I'll be using line-out.

I listened to both of the setups using IE800.

For those that have the ATH - M50s/LE head phones I can report that the iem amp in the X7 drives these headphones perfectly well...
They sound fantastic with the X7....  plenty of drive and volume...

Yes the sound did update well...  and with that in mind I'd like to ask Fiio that when FW changes are made, can they report that the change may or may not affect the sound and how/why the FW changed the sound signature...

Manufacturers don't usually know how or why a change in firmware effects the sound. All their software engineers are doing is cleaning up code, fixing bugs, trying get the OS to run lighter and smoother. This process can get the audio closer to how the hardware was always meant to sound. It's usually an unintended consequence.

It's not the same as them simply adjusting invisible EQ settings on their customers. :D

improved DAC decoding? It is software based as well right? I remember the iBasso Daps changed sound with the various firmwares
