I'm personally glad FiiO is adopting the ability to change amps as the Hifiman 901s encompasses as I do believe it will lessen anyone having dissatisfaction with their respective tastes in sound, especially in relation to differing headphones.  Minibox sounds great with some power hungry cans and the ones that don't perform better with the "balanced" amp card.  I hope third parties eventually start making amp modules for the X7.

Now that would be awesome. But most of the third parties that might do an amp module for the x7 already have their own lines of DAPs, so i don't think that's something likely to happen.

Maybe a DIY amp module for the aficionados? THAT would be awesome. Something that would allow both SOIC-8 and DIP-8 opamp chips. Is this something ever likely to happen?
 
All those E12DIY users would then have a 2nd FiiO gadget where to plug their collection of chips...

We have not plan right now but it is too difficult to DIY'er to DIY the amp module cause it includes a enclose. about the other way to DIY the module, it is too early to decide cause we already provide so many kinds of modules.

Hmm. Good idea. I wonder if tubes can be made super small to fit into a module that wouldn't be rediculously big to fit into the X7. I can somehow imagine a module extra wide to fit into the X7. Of course it would stick out quite a lot from that iem! Brilliant idea though.

I love how new DAPs get referred to as if they're newly born infants.  Just like babies, we carry them around with us, show them off to everyone like proud parents and delight at every sound they make... but never want to deal with them getting wet.
