A simpler and cheaper solution seems like a single SD card slot. It's cheaper for us users too since bigger SD cards are cheaper than the equivalent micro SD cards. This way, no need to complicate the amp and I saw FiiO's facebook page saying that there could not be double micro sd because of networking problems or something so a single SD card slot would avoid it as well. What do you think?

sorry , we can‘t change the design right now and the big SD slot is not a smart idea consider the space.

I guess it's been long since the development started so it seems too late for a structural change for the actual X7 I guess.

I don't want to keep you busy but I have a question about the X7: Where is the coaxial output (digital) located? Is it on the actual X7 body or the amp module?

Doubt they'll EVER do that. It's just not their way of sale. They do flavour of the month (albeit good sounding everytime) and increase the price tag.

the coaxial is on the X7's body. but the USB also can output digital audio signal which is on the amp module.
