i respect FIIO as a company, and seriously if you can test maybe some cases or design your own case that can lower the RF interference it would be awesome

Being a FiiO supporter I was really looking forward to buying a X7+AM3 and Empire Ears Combo in a few weeks. Hiss on X5 with EarWerkz Supra is very audible (reported to FiiO) so I'm a little reluctant to upgrade to X7 now. Hoping FiiO will be able to solve the background and interference issues.

Atleast here its mostly the specialty audio stores that carry audiophile equipment, the mass market electronic chains like best buy have like beats and bose and run of the mill "mp3" players. On the other hand, being able to buy from said large electronic chains means awesome return and exchange policies if things don't work out.
 
Especially Costco! Their online inventory is starting to carry some decent headphone gear lately.

I buy almost all of my electronics online. Anything available offline in Hawaii would probably be noticeably more expensive due to the high cost of living + importing stuff.
 
If you started selling Fiio stuff in Costco, I'd check it out. Haha! Costco is one of the few affordable places to shop at here.

I've never seen or bought Fiio products anywhere except Amazon. I have the Fiio E6, E12, X3, X5, and X7.

Sad news:

Just got the AM5 and was trying to replace the AM1. The screws just wouldn't go off and as I applied a little bit more pressure (and believe me when I say a LITTLE, I babysit this DAP) the screw ended up stripping. They seemed way over tightened and now I can't remove the AM1!! What a sad day.
May this be a warning for others..

Get a dremmel and make a slot- in it so you can take it off with screw driver.
