Which viper4android did you install and which driver was installed too , isn't working on mine:neutral_face:

I recommend this build

https://www.dropbox.com/s/mq1nft0mk46o2es/ViPER4Android_v2.3.3.0_-_elesbb_Profiles_Widget.apk?dl=0

It has 95% of the features of the newest build (which isn't on Google Play anyway) and has a bugfix for reliable profile loading that isn't included in any official build.

If you want the newest build, it can always be found here:

I think the amp module is a very good idea and should be referred to by other DAP makers. However, I would expect different modules to be compatible with at least a few generations of the players made by the same manufacturer. Sounds fair?

Absolutely. I think that´s what we´ll see happening. Otherwise it would´t make sense.

Does it work with hiby?

Depends on settings, but it works for me at the moment. What are your sound settings in Hiby?

I mean do you have SRC turned on or set to a particular sample rate other than 44100?

Also can you post a screenshot of V4A's driver status with music playing? (menu button in V4A->Driver Status)

Fully aware it is a hardware problem, was wondering if newer players and / or the new amp modules have resolved it

In that case, unfortunately not. I have a "Standard Edition" X7 (the newly introduced version that doesn't come with an amp module) along with the AM5 amp module, and I can still hear some noise when using Wi-Fi if I have the volume low enough on my Etymotic ER4P.

Hi, i loaded hiby music and like the interface more than the fiio version, however i am not sure about the settings to maximise the audio quality.

DOP - what is this

Fixed output sampling rate - this appears to be turned off

There is a user login - what is the purpose of this

Finally the guide on their website is limited but does seem to show an ability to apply DSP effects which seem missing from the one i have downloaded from the fiio whitelist.

Any views on the relative sound quality compared with the fiio music app would be interessting or any tips on maximising SQ with the fiio x7

thanks

First get the current version from the Play Store instead of the FiiO whitelist.

Hi guys, im a newbie here. Greetings :D

I have been using x7 for about a week and i found it sounds amazing, and which is better than my previous ak100ii. More impact in the low bottom and bigger soundstage, even the differences is subtle but noticable enough. The sq is amazing, but the software needs improvement here and there. A few suggestion to improve from me to FiiO JamesFiiO
1. Please add the unsync lyric, i have none synced lyrics so its pretty useless for me. Maybe you can add it simply after the sync lyric screen, tap once and it will show the unsync lyric. Or you can show the available one
2. Please make it supports m3u playlist, its kinda hassle when you have a playlist tab, but you have to open the folder browser and go to your imported playlist file, then open it. Cant you just integrate it into one tab?? Just like ak100ii
3. Please make it remember the last playlist so it can continue where it left last time after reboot. Im currently at fw 2.0 and everytime i reboot, my last played item is gone. Its bothering since i usually make a big number in playlist, and i wanna continue where i left off
4. Please add album artwork in lockscreen while playing the tracks, most player support it and you can add this feature
5. And maybe android 5, since it wont have limitation in SRC so it will play any music in its native sample rate. CMIIW
Maybe that's all. Until you guys add those maybe i can stick with jetaudio

And maybe anybody knows, can jetaudio play 24 bit natively?? While its playing 24 bit tracks i saw it only output to 16bit 44.1KHz

Thanks
