is it possible to do a theme with percent battery status?

I've have a percent battery status in the Star Trek theme in my custom FW. The only downside is FiiO has only five images to represent the battery level so I created five percentages to correspond to the battery level images. They include 100%, 75%, 50%, 25%, 10%.

Other than this method the answer is no, unfortunately.

It would be a good idea to get a battery percent version for all the themes, but my time is extremely limited right now and I don't predict being able to do this in the near future.

For the Plasma theme I'm not sure it will ever make it to the X5ii as the menu is hand painted in Photoshop and Digital Fusion for the original X5's seven item menu structure. It would actually take some serious work to redo it for the five item menu structure on the X5ii.

I haven't seen a link for it yet George. Last I read you were happy with it but it didn't work and that was all.

At the moment only theme 1 is finished and it is my daily to go theme, it is a tweak of the original mostly, with most colors changed to a shade of cyan. I am designing a theme pack at the moment, and I thought I had already posted this one. 
 
The backgrounds have been changed to that beehive thingy I used in original X5, because I really liked that background. the image in the DAC mode is also changed, and there are also lots of other minor tweaks and changes. I hope everyone enjoys it!

You modify the images in the firmware after you unpack it. There are detailed instructions in the first and third post of this thread. The best way to learn is to try modifying some images and then test it on your X5ii. If something doesn't work as you expected then re-load the original firmware and everything goes back to normal.

Experimentation is the best way to learn.

That link is to a small tweak done by uzi2 to my Tesla theme. The theme has a lot of hand painting done for the lightning for the menus specific to the 7 menu items on the original X5. I don't think I'll be doing a conversion for the X5ii as it would be a lot of work to redo it for the new 5 menu items.

I'm hoping that one day FiiO will redo the X5 1G's firmware to have 5 icons and 5 themes, since that would allow the themers to basically develop for two devices at once.
 
I've decided to stick with the first gen X5 since it works fine and sounds great with an Rx, but I'll still try to port my X5 themes over to X5II once in a while.
