Hi
Code:
[color=rgb(33, 33, 33)] Unfortunately I found some problems: streaming from a nas is unusable; if you try to connect freezes and an error message; if you use music Hiby It works even if often disconnects. I have no problems with spotify. Someone has encountered the same problem?[/color]

Dear Pietruccio,

NAS may not be compatible with the X5III now. We will consider whether adding this function in the future.

Best regards

@Pietruccio

I have about 75'000 songs on my Synology NAS.

To listen to the music, I installed the Logitech Media Server and use several Squeezeplayer to stream music to different rooms at home and to the office.

On FIIO X5-III I installed the Android SB Player and the Squeeze Ctrl apps.

With these apps, X5 acts as a Squeezeplayer and streams songs from the NAS like a charm ...

Hi FIIO, I hope you have tested the mechanics of the SDtray ... It will have to survive at least 500 take outs each.

I have everyday something to add to the SDcard, and taking it out to transfer the files on the computer is the only way to do it in a reasonable time.

USB audio player pro doesn't work streaming tidal. I get a lot of loud static in the songs. I couldn't even tell what was playing. Anyone else experience this?

FiiO has said they will get USB audio output working properly in a future fw update. I really hope they focus on it soon as it is an advertised feature.

What exactly do you want to do with your NAS? What NAS do you have?

Every NAS supplier offer a software bundle to use certain functions.

Synology for example has a Media Server app, that turns the NAS into a UPnP / DLNA server.
Or they offer an Android app (DS music), that allows to stream music from an Android device.

It is not fair to say: streaming from NAS is impossible. It depends ...

And that's the reason, why Android on X5 is such a plus. I'm shure you'll find an app that does the job if you can't do it with the built in FIIO music app ...
