We did not understand that well before so we failed to reply a proper answer for you as well. We were also looking for some ways in this few days for you.
I am trying to get another Android app to recognise the .m4a music tracks copied to the micros SD cards on the X5 III.
But if you mean that you need to copy the .m4a file from card1 to card 2 in the X5III, you can use the ES file explorer in the X5III for help directly.

Thanks FiiO for your reply. No need to apologise. (I am just a bit frustrated.)
Sorry that I did not set out my query clearly. (Answer to your question above in red).
So... I have copied a whole lot of songs/tracks to two 64Gb micros SD cards inserted in the X5III. I have done it two ways: first by transferring the files while the micros SD were in a PC and the cards formatted in FAT32. Then I tried it again, while the X5III was connected through USB to the PC. I first re-formated/erased the microSD cards when in the X5III and then copied the same files.
The files are all .m4a files, mostly ALAC.
The files are easily read by the FiiO player app. No problem there.
However the files are not read by any other Android player app, including the one I am trying to use which is Devialet Spark. The files are also not seen as 'Music' files by the ES file explorer app.
When I take the microSd cards out of the X5III and insert them in another Android device, they work fine and are recognised by other Android player apps as music, including Devialet Spark.
Question: am I doing something wrong or does FiiO's current Android build for the X5III have a problem?

We are not quite familar with the Spark APP you mentioned. And it seems a Dialog is required so we fail to test it.
The .m4a can aslo be played by some music APP like hiby music. Could this help? From ES file explorer, you can still find the .m4a files from folder but not the Music. Though the ES can't play them.

Thanks for your reply. The Spark app is just another music player app. The Dialog device made by Devialet which can be used with the Phantom speakers (but not necessary) is not relevant to the Spark app finding music on the Fiio X5III. I have now tested the following Android player apps with the following results:
EQ Music Player - X5III can't find music
AllStream - X5III can't find music
AllCast - X5III can't find music
doubleTwist - X5III can't find music
Google Play Music - X5III can't find music
Player Pro - X5III can't find music
jetAudio - X5III can't find music
BlackPlayer - X5III can't find music
HibyMusic - X5III can only find music in the 'Music' folder on internal storage only
Netron - X5III can find all music
So I do no what is happening here.
Is it a problem with the apps or with the way Android on the X5III interacts with the music files.
Clearly the FiiO app plays all the .m4a files, so there must be no problem with the codec.

With "Mastering Quality Lossless Playback Hi-Res Music Player" statement should we understand that X5 3rd gen has native MQA support or will have in the future with FW update? @FiiO
