Anyone want to pitch and recommend a current pair of Bluetooth IEMs that sound good with the FIIO? Borrowed kids Apple ones and they work well on her phone but sound like crap to me. Wife has a knock off wireless set that sound awful.

I think it's all waste. I use TRN V10 Bluetooth AptX cable + FiiO FH5, F9, BGVP DMG and anything that has MMCX connector (even 2 pin types can be ordered). If you are a wandering type, a good accessory is a Vikefon high-range receiver and transmitter (I haven't tried the 80-meter range, but I have reached 30 meters through two partitions and the perimeter wall of the house). The TRN really lasts for 8 hours at my high volume levels. VIKEFON has max. resolution AptX HD - signal via optical TOSLINK from PC or analogue Lineout. I have not yet discovered the AptX-HD cable in a reasonable price.

I can only talk about 1. You can do it without root. Attach the X5 via usb cable to your PC, boot to TWRP, mount system, then on your PC open command prompt to the android-sdk\platform-tools folder adb.exe is in. Then: adb push libaudioflinger.so /system/lib/libaudioflinger.so. I copied libaudioflinger.so to that tools folder for simplicity. I also could not chmod 644. It gave me some error, but luckily the access was already 644.

If you’ve got the libaudioflinger.so you don’t need to use console commands, just mount system in TWRP then navigate in file manager, locate libaudioflinger.so under /system/lib delete it, then move the new libaudioflinger.so to same directory. fix permissions when done?

When I do this, I have only bin directory inside /system directory, which is empty.

This is how I do it.
I do have root so maybe that's why I see more in TWRP than you are able.
But honestly if you already have TWRP installed...why not just flash the supersu zip and get on with it?

Dear Head-Fi community

Minor update to V3 kernel was pushed out yesterday, and is there specifically to address any issues users were having with random reboots or low clockspeed. This is a non-essential update and is only for users who may have had issues on v3 so far.

Changelog

Version 3.02
New: 1704MHz release for players that can work at higher frequencies than 1416MHz (install this version if you previously had reboots at 2016MHz)
Enhanced: Increased stability without performance decrease
Enhanced: CPU down-volting for performance kernel version (2016MHz)
Fix: Removed additional CPU frequencies for 1416MHz kernel version (increased stability)

Download from the following links:

1416MHz version: http://bit.ly/FiiOiii302L
1704MHz version: http://bit.ly/FiiOiii302M
2016MHz version: http://bit.ly/FiiOiii302H

Once again thanks to prispewnic and the great testing community here and on 4PDA.

@jkbuha, I haven’t used your changes for the X5iii but I have nothing but respect for the amount of effort you have done to help improve the device.

If I may make a suggestion, you should start a thread that can contain all of your information, tweaks, links, and discussion regarding your work in one place. We did it for the custom themes threads for the X5 and X5ii and it was very helpful to find the information rather than keeping the themes spread out and difficult to find in the main thread. This would be very easy to link to when others have questions about links, install procedures, or change logs.

There is very little chance the original poster will edit the first post of the thread and the moderators are not doing anything to add the information either.
