Obviously not, just like Tidal wouldn't. I'm not sure if FiiO could incorporate it in their own Music app without licensing fees, etc.. Maybe if there's enough demand they could set it up like a Viper situation. I dunno.

So since the OP is using his DAP in Pure music mode i was merely pointing out that last.fm wont work unless in android mode. My apologies i wasnt clearer.

Hi all! Long time lurker but first post here.
Thank you all for your time and information provided.
As a proud owner of a new fiio x5III i need to say a few things:
First, sq wise, i am happy, i am not a golden ear and nothing like that, so my opinion in that regard is not too valuable.
But i have a few issues with the ui experience:
Dear @FiiO i love your music app in terms of interface but i found two issues, the first one is the next/previous button, i have 14000 songs loaded, and playing from "all songs" ,there is a delay of 2/3 seconds from the push to the respond to play the next song. Its silly but other apps like neutron o poweramp work better in that regard and i would like to improve the user experience because right now i prefer using your app than third party

.
The other issue that i found and its more annoying, its when i want to delete a song that i am currently listening, the delete menu frezzes, the next songs start playing but in a few seconds it crashes and reboot the app.
Those are the only issues that i found, firmware wise, the rest i just enjoy music and i have to congratulate Fiio for their work.
And btw sorry for my english!

Can I disable "always on" blue led?
I think "on" blue led has no sense in "suspend/standby" mode, perhaps only when playing music would be a good choice.

It isn't a big deal to me, I thought I read in one of the reviews that it was a built in function. This amuses me because i remember people getting angry in the early X3 X5 discussions that anyone would even ask for such a thing. I had it on my iPods so I thought maybe.....
Anyway, I don't want it bad enough to download an app for it. Bah.

OK after a reflashing device few bugs gone now I can adjust volume in music app window, and player is a bit faster

Q. Am I blind or there is no a replaygain option?

The replaygain is in the Viper effect. We will consider whether adding it in the fiio music directly in later firmware.

  Not sure if anyone else is having this problem with a new X5iii. I installed the new firmware, took the 2 256Gb cards directly out of my X5ii and put them in my new X5iii and scanned the cards. They only scared 8600 out of the 9100 tracks I had on the 2 cards. I re-flashed the firmware, did a factory re-set, re-inserted the cards and I'm still having the same issue. Any help? The cards scan perfectly fine in my X5ii

  Hi just received mine yesterday. I am in China so I got a super charger and a 32 G sd card gifts
 
overall it looks and sounds pretty good. Of course need to listen to it for a while to give my impressions. Sound is different from my X1 1st gen I need to get used to it.
 
2 remarks to Fiio:
- I used a 64 G sd cards full of music I used with my (excellent) X1 first gen: although X5 could access all folders it cannot find any music !!! Then I used a brand new card which I loaded with music using X5 linked to my computer via USB and wok fine. Why can happen to the 64 G card which cause this issue?
 
- I connected X5 with my NAS using DLNA and it works like a charm ! fast access and browsing, well done ! The only complain I have is that the album cover is not diplayed ! (it is both in the same folder as a floder.JPG file and Embedded in the FLAC file). Funny thing is that I can see the album cover as an icon of each file when browsing, but not as album cover when playing the song..... is it possible to fix this ?
 
Btw, I have read on the forum that we can retrieve lyrics on the fly online using the X5... how to do that ?

1. What's the brand of your 64G card? It fails to work even you plug it in again?
2. For the DLNA issue you mentioned, we will ask the engineers for more information and tell you later.
3. 

Added option to auto-match/manually search for lyrics & album art (the auto-match function can be enabled in FiiO Music->Settings->Auto-match lyrics & album art; and to manually search, you can directly click on the lyrics screen if there're no lyrics available or click the Functions icon at the lower right of the lyrics screen then select search);

Notes regarding the Auto-match/manually search for lyrics & album art:

 

a) The lyrics and album art files will be downloaded to the same directory of the corresponding song by default.

b) FiiO Music will only automatically download the lyrics or album art if there's no lyrics or album art found.

c) Currently the lyrics and album art are searched by the track title and album name. So if the track's title or album name has got prefix/suffix (such as "01", "Bonus", "Deluxe version"), you need to manually remove these characters before searching.

d) If the downloaded lyrics or album art is incorrect, you can have it removed then re-download (click the Functions icon at the lower right of the lyrics screen then select the corresponding option).

Lately I have been noticing that Tidal offline playback is a little unstable @FiiO some tracks will stutter after about 10-15 minutes into playing. To remedy, I need to force close Tidal and reopen the app again. Seems to be more prone after I listened using bluetooth headset (aptx enabled).

​Any updates on this issue? Good offline Tidal playback from an SD card is a high priority feature I'm considering for my next DAP purchase. So far it seems FiiO has similar problems as reported on other Android-based DAPs...stuttering offline playback from SD card.

Is it possible to EQ streaming Apps like Spotify?
 
I have a DPX-1 and it IS possible. 
You cannot use the players EQ, but you can go to Spotify settings and will find an EQ there.
This EQ somehow seems to be a general Android EQ shown within the Spotify App, because if you install Apple Music as another streaming app you will find exactly the same EQ (but not on an iPhone / iPod).  
 
Can somebody check whether this EQ can be found on the Spotify App on the X5 III ? Thanks!

Somebody earlier said, there is an EQ, but it is grayed out? Actually the same sometimes happens on my DP-X1, but if I restart it, I can use it.

The Bluetooth on the X5 is impressive. I'm new to BT, but I expected it to have shorter range. I was able to leave the room and get half-way through the next before the signal faltered.

I was able to pick mine up at the mail this morning. Currently downloading the OS upgrade. Which will take most of the day due to our internet sucking. The unit is much smaller than I expected. Think I'm really going to like using it.
