Headphonebar told me they'd stock it from 399$ to 449$... So with GST and free shipping, it'll come up to max 475$ if I rely on what they told me... As much as I love being an early adopter, I'd rather take that 125$ and buy an amp.

Really? That is good news, but it does seem low. I will be very happy to be wrong, and yes I guess the price for early adoption if that comes to pass would be too high. If Headphonebar does set pricing at $449 with tax it is only $507 Canadian so certainly a significant savings. I hope you are correct indeed, and I suspect I was well off thinking the X5III would be that costly here. Thanks for the information.

He said 499 to 549 cad... Don't know why I had those prices in my mind. No sleep last night..

Okay, just saw this post now so with tax it comes to almost the same thing (assuming the $549 retail). I guess it would be worth waiting for, but sometimes the stock reaching Canada is slow so there is no penalty to pay it seems for buying overseas, even with the PP fees mentioned so a wash as they say.

Still a lot better than 620,and I like supporting him - solid guy.

No, it isn't better after tax, at $549 it is the exact same price. Yes, if you like supporting somebody that is different and I agree, well worth waiting then.

Alberta too:)

Not for long, if oil revenues continue to lag eventually you'll need provincial tax or start closing hospitals or schools.

If price is a wash then I would wait and buy in Canada to get a warranty and easier product returns if there is an issue.

Ok, turned on the X5III and there was a pop up asking if I want to update the FW. I pushed the button and all went well. Once done it suggest that I delete the DL fole so the system runs correctly. All good.
