Used B&W P7 headphone with the X5III. Overall sound is detailed and musical. Wide sound stage and nice bass. Build is high end, solid feel. Very small with a nice screen. Fast UI.

That's odd. DX200 power output is much much higher than X5iii. Did you change gain settings?

That kinda confirms with my short experience with DX80 vs X5ii. 
 
I liked iBasso DAPs from the outside, but after having both FiiO and iBasso in hand - FiiO felt better to the touch and usage wise and sound wise.

Technically speaking, if you want to listen to what essentially is what the engineer was listening to (and so the differences come down to hardware), just download the 24/96 album on HDTracks.

Hopefully, the Fiio X5(iii) will be more than enough for my needs.

Even though I just picked up the xdp-300r. I too would like to know when USB out will be available.
