Thanks for the feedback. When you say your other device play them fine, would you be kind enough to tell us those devices. And yes personally i think it maybe a limitation of the SoC and RAM

PC: i7-4790k w/Foobar
Samsung S8+
LG V20

....and now, we can add the Hidizs AP60 to the devices that play the files fine. Now I'm not so sure it is memory/cpu that is the issue...but looking hard at software implementation (firmware) again.

@WayTooCrazy - I just went out and purchased a DSD128 album so I can test. Actually introduced me to an artist I hadn't heard before - so win-win.

Playing now (4 tracks in), and no skipping or stuttering at all off the micro SD. Do you think it could be the encode you did? Or maybe try it from the memory of the X5iii - and see if it is simply a limitation with read speed on the card? Anyway - only one album tested - but its playing it fine.

The album (in case anyone interested) is https://trptk.nativedsd.com/albums/TTK0006-paper-motion

Really enjoying it. Indie DSD :)

I agree... I typically only go 24/96k at the high end. I just got these ripped from vinyl and wanted to see how they sounded.

@Brooko Thanks for the heads up on the band... haven't heard them before... will take a listen.

Seems like implementation rather than Ram and processor. AP60 can do it!

Going to dropbox the album and will send you a link via PM. That way you can test on your X5iii - its playing normally on mine.

Anybody else having issues with gapless playback after the update? It's driving me crazy, about to reinstall 1.16
What file type? I can test.

Yep - you're right. Happening on FLAC 16/44 and also on my aac256 files as well. Just the tiniest micro gap for me - but can see how it would be annoying.

Ok, so second DSD album worked. It might be the encoding but doesn't explain why the other devices can play it. I wonder if this is something that was told to me about the Aune M1S, where it would play most DSD128, but there were some it couldn't, but that was fixed through firmware. I dunno. Thanks for the help @Brooko

Man, I just tried 'The Wall' - Pink Floyd and FiiO did break gapless playback with the 1.1.7.

Please FiiO, don't break functions while you're adding new themes and fixing bugs.
