I'd remove the memory cards... then hold down the power button until it powers down.
Did my X5ii just crash??!? It suddenly switch to a blue screen with a list of what looks like registers. And I can't power it off now.
I done't have permissions to post pictures directly, but here's a link to some phots:

This actually happened while the player was idle. I pressed to power button to shut it off and that happened.I wonder what happened.
These errors happen with very bad files of very bad firmware errors. I crashed once my X5 due to a bad UI designed by me that did not work.
You should change the microsds, or at least try to check them for errors.
On what song did this happen? IF you remember, you should erase the song.

How can X5ii generate 7V if it has only 3.7V battery? I thought the voltage of any portable player is limited by its power source.

1st time I've seen a custom dual entry cable for the HP50's. Very interesting and I have to ask - how does it sound?? I'm going to hate the answer as I just got rid of mine due to build and comfort issues. Sure hope they do a HP70!!

No reset on X5ii Hold down power button for ten or more seconds.
Are there any sample music files freely downloadable that will really show off the X5ii? Or failing that, any online that would be good to purchase? I've started ripping my own CDs but it would be interesting to compare what I have to what people consider an example of the best.
(BTW: where is a good place to ask about OSX software for ripping CDs and organising tracks?)
Worked. Thanks. All back to normal now.
DC to DC step up converter. They are not extremely efficient, and it costs current drain.
Here is an example just picked at random
