It’s almost the end of the week and still no new firmware for X3Mark3. Patience? It’san extremely over used word around here!

I'd agree with you - quite rare and very few people seem to have any nowadays. What specific fix are you looking for?

In case you didn’t know, the X3 mark 3 is an extremely flawed device software wise. Songs skip, 1-2 seconds of every song is cut off, it hangs, no gapless playback, etc.

I've had it longer than you have my friend. Like I said they've been working on fixes - but I don't know when they are releasing the update. On my current unit - running fw 1.1.2 (like I said, I'm testing)
  1. I've not experienced any skipping
  2. The first 2 seconds song cut-off is solved (or at least its not doing it on this fw)
  3. Gapless is working on aac256 almost perfectly - just the faintest micro gap now
  4. Haven't had a hang since upgrading
I hope they release it soon to you guys.

Hi there,
Don't forget that I am using the X3-III as a source which is routed into the SPDIF input of my IBasso D14. Perhaps the problems I have been experiencing only show up when operating the device in that particular mode... also I just check... I am running FW 1.0.3 !!! I am not aware of where I could be getting up update to this one!

The skip / 2s glitch is fixed in the new fw. Not sure yet when FiiO is ready to release. Hopefully any day.

Thanks for the new firmware. I can confirm that the 1-2 second cut off has been fixed. Overall interface seems a little less laggy than before as well. Will report more after testing some more.

Indeed. I’m pleased. The cutoffs were really getting the better of me.

If they could only fix the overall speed (eliminate the lag) and add replay gain, this thing would be just about perfect .....
