The easiest solution for user to attempt is to glue a small piece of thin foam (or any cushioning material) on the lip opposite of the main body of the adapter to push it firmly down when the lip is closed.

Just pop in to say that my utws 5 have been weirdly 0% in the morning. I put it back and charge up to 100% and the next morning it's 0% again (on one side). It's buggy af, it seem to auto discharge even when staying in case

God damn the connectivity on these things is ridiculously ****ed. Unbelievable for the price being charged. On my second unit (the first one was more or less DOA), keeping the device fully charged in my pocket all day, in the evening I try to use it and one side is 64%, the other side is just dead. Can't get it to connect at all. It's like at zero percent and I can't get a charging light. The charging case is fully charged. I tried repairing and everything. Just totally unresponsive. So far this has been a ****ing useless product for me and I'm furious.
Got them home and put them on the charger for a few hours. Both sides appear to be charging, and when fully charged the lights flash and go off. But repairing only gives me one side:

The right earhook seems to be just totally dead. I have no idea why, it just happened out of nowhere. No idea how to fix it. This is unacceptable.

hello,boys,does any knows how upgrade utws5 to firmware V1.71 ? im paired utws5 with iphone app and always update . now have v1.5 and app says that it use latest firmware,no any updates shows. im downloaded v1.71 firmware to laptop.

I think most of us encounter the issue is not the utws not charging but it is discharged (turn on and connect) after fully charged

Technically, if the pin is not disconnected, it should stay 'off'. At least this is how my UTWS3 / UTWS5 / CF01 / GO Pod / etc behave. Now as I said on my previous post, I don't have this problem with my UTWS5 or other TWS adapters but only with CF01 - the reason is because CF01 has its pins position on the side of the case and can be easily dislodged, even by itself since the fitting is very loose. Therefore my suggestion is to address any possibility of loose fit since as the IEM earpieces connected to the adapter will create a counter weight at the other end that might lift the pins up just enough to lost connection, which will make the adapter believes it has been taken out by the user and thus try to connect back to the smartphone.

The FW3/5 and I assume UTW5 are activated via the lid being opened/closed (Hall Switch) not the pins/magnets, this is only the 2nd pair of earbuds.
I have owned that do so and I have read the pros and cons of this method.

Got to snap that lid shut sometimes twice (you can see LED blinking on one bud or both (whatever is not connecting to the case) and even then, it can later decide to connect to a device and be flat when you go to use them.

I now power them off via the buttons and put them in the case then if they do not connect again after 2mins I disable the Bluetooth on my devices, a PIA yes.

Download the file on your phone then point the FiiO App to the Download folder and the file inside or download on your Laptop and transfer the file to your phone then do the same.

:gs1000smile:finally got update 1.71 ,all works perfectly,maybe LDAC codec use more power or so,but now on my astell kern sr25ii /meze rai penta sound as double volume to 110-130 keep for normal listen,with aptx volume 60-80 was ok . max sound is 150
