@FiiO Which exact pogo pin type do you use for the earpieces? On my UTWS5 they are corroded after a year.
Pogo pin is ~ 7.3mm long, 2mm thick on the thickest part, 1.5mm thick on the contact surface side.

The the battery also needs to be replaced, right now I´m putting in the battery of my less used MMCX UTWS3 and use it´s backplate where the contacts are still fine.

(I used it daily, battery protection for a 85% charging limit was activated all the time)

No, I bought it from the „FiiO Retailer Store“ on Aliexpress. And now the earpieces are opened anyway

I got a second one of these after the first one went haywire.

The second one is also useless: the charging case doesn't hold any charge and can't charge the hooks. It just pulses constantly when it's plugged in. I tried all sorts of different cables etc. and even let it charge overnight. Totally unresponsive.

I live in Japan and can't find any way to return these two products because the post office and the shipping companies both refuse to send lithium ion batteries.

Money down the drain.

UTWS15 ((NEW), expected to be available in the fall
The UTWS15 is the upgrade model of the UTWS5. The core architecture of the UTWS5 is still the one with the best sound quality among TWS products, because ordinary TWS products still choose the integrated DAC, which has weaker audio performance than the independent HiFi DAC used in the UTWS5. Even for the new TWS from vivo, we later got to know it used an independent DAC because it is attached to the noise cancellation function, but not using it for better sound quality like us.
So, the main progress of the UTWS15 is in some details of the experience, such as the size and weight of the charging case, the size and weight of the ear hook, as well as the new design of the contact connection. Old UTWS5 users are not necessary to upgrade it.

Thats great and all, but what is @FiiO doing to improve integration with the mobile app? Its great to keep coming up with new hardware but I would implore that the software integration is vital to a product targeted to audiophiles. While the normal consumer would not care about EQ or filters etc. but many, if not all who purchase FiiO TWS products would expect some ability to tweak the sound to their preferences. Many on this thread have said that the Qudelix mobile app is the best mobile experience in the industry and that @FiiO could benefit by creating something similar for their UTWS line. However, these comments have largely been ignored by @FiiO.

Its frankly disappointing for @FiiO to ignore comments about their horrendus app but keep pushing out new product.

What is the number for the lipo battery? Photo wasnt clear enough

What is the number for the lipo battery?

381218, 3.8mm thickness, 12mm width, 18mm length. Same for UTWS3 and 5.

Closest that I found where „80mAh“ 351018 cells on aliexpress that are on the way to me.

What's your problem with our App in UTWS5? Different products may have different functions so some functions in the app for certain products may not be supported in UTWS5.

Trying to update my UTWS5 to v1.5 from 1.42. iOS. Have tried twice via OTA. Now trying via local. How long should it take on the 'Updating.....The firmware is in preparation, please leave in this page' screen?

On the OTA tries, I waited on that screen 10 minutes. Now, on the local update try.....it's at 15 minutes. I have the iPhone set to NOT sleep, and I haven't switched away from the app.

Does the update work now? If not, you may try to reset the UTWS5 or use another mobile phone to check again.
