Very good player but not better than the SP2000.
The way it was hyped, it was below my expectations - in terms of sound. I was expecting it would sound better than the SP2000.

Curious to hear your thoughts on it after having it for some time now. The SP2000 is definitely a more refined sound than the FiiO M15 but I think the M15 is quite good. I've only had mine for a few days so far though, if the sound opens up a bit more I think it's a hit.

Is this as temperamental with Android apps as the M11? I love the M11 but I confess it's been a gigantic headache when it comes to apps. The Qobuz app crashes all the time. I am still having issues with it. The Big Finish app does not even work at all, period. Those two apps were the *only* reason why I purchased the player.

I am currently saving for the M15 and still have a few months before I have the funds. Does anyone know about covers for the M15, I can not see having a flagship dap and having no case... I do see were I can preorder one but I do not like having a 1.2k device fall out of my hands.

I was expecting it to be better sounding than the SP2000 - by the looks of the specs. But as the audio engineer told me that the specs that they stated are meaningless to how the player would sound.
And from the looks of the Headfonia article, don't see it as a SP2000 beater.
I don't think it could beat SP2k which is triple its price. It certainly outperforms my sp1k+amp.

Available for order; back in stock on March 7 - https://www.amazon.com/FiiO-M15-5-1...r_1_3?keywords=fiio+m15&qid=1583073860&sr=8-3

I know I'm nitpicking, but the plastic volume knob has me really irked. Also, the lack of an included case.
Dear user,

Thanks for your interest in our M15. We will also report this to our product manager.
we plan to release a leather case but everything has been delayed now. and the worst thing is we don't know when everything can back to normal.

Best regards

I always wanted a dap that
  • Has MQA support
  • Has DLNA support
  • Has native DSD support up DSD512
  • Is able upsample to DSD
  • Has great screen that I don't need magnifying class to see
  • LDAC/HWA support
  • support to up to 1 TB of microSD(that is all 60% of my music library)
  • Has line out that lets me connect to my favourite amps
  • It portable
  • And most importantly, I can navigate using my phone!
  • Has 4.4mm support.
I just now need to see how it sounds, God I hope its tonality is a mixture of R2R2000 and Calyx M.

I hope FiiO is still manufacturing the M15 (safely) cause, there are going to be orders coming when this situation is over.
