I have a problem with Spotify on my M9. My battery ran out (I don't normally let it) and, when I charged the M9, Spotify had logged me out. When I go to log back in, it tells me

"You are currently set to offline" - please go online to connect to Spotify. My M9 is for sure on-line as TuneIn radio works.

At the point where I'm refused entry, the login screen says under my password box

'We're currently experiencing problems - please try again later'.

It's been like this for over 24 hour now and, with my wifi, I can log in to my Spotify account on other devices.

I was indeed in 'offline mode' within Spotify when the battery ran out but surely this shouldn't prevent me from logging back in to my account?

Any help gratefully received - half my M9 listening is using Spotify and I miss it already.

Hi headfiers!

I'm searching for people that are obsess about DAP like me...and wanna share there best sub-500$ finds . Perhaps this M9 is a good contender??

If you can share comparaison and stuffs like this, I think it will be rewarding for people trying to figure out the best DAP for them.

Give a look:

DX120 is better than M9 on sonics alone, more natural, more configurable, more powerful

DX120 doesn't have many of the bells and whistles M9 has tho, so M9 can do some things DX120 can't and really M9 comes off as more versatile, unless you are a microSD library, where the dual microSD slot of DX120 also comes in handy.

They are different devices made for different purposes through and through

I like the fact M9 is so incredibly stable in the firmwares :)

thanks, very interesting....I guess I will include both then aha DX120 doesnt have wifi (wich i dont care really since I use Radsone ES100 for that). Ibasso are sure are to beat it term of sound quality alone!

And what about like...real M9 battery life...at kind of high volume using non-stop wifi? im afraid of this...like with phone it drain battery alot sometime.

You're welcome and here's a link to the case I described above - https://www.fiio.com/productinfo/26117.html

I purchased it at Aliexpress - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Lea...mplifier-FiiO-Q5-with-iPhone/32850848409.html

It took about a month or so to arrive, but was worth the wait.

Don't expect that Aliexpress provides the same customer service guarantees that Amazon offers. Aliexpress claims to offer a satisfaction guarantee, but I found this to a bogus claim that they refused to honor.

Agree with the customer service aspect, that's why I will only order simple things such as a case from them

I really ran more tests with it on microSD cards than on Wifi.

FiiO's quoted battery life is quite close to actual results, at least from my tests so far. I need to test a bit more :)

@FiiO , my original question was from February 15, I would highly appreciate an answer.
Dear friend,

We have confirmed with the engineer that the coaxial output can not reach 24bit because of the limitation of the Exynos7270 chip.

Best regards

Maybe, but the basic issues are still existing (micro gaps, gapless playback issues, back skip button problem for example).
Sony failed without EQ for FLAC, FiiO failed with to many issues until now....as next, I will check the AP80 from Hidisz..it seems, no manufacturers can create a normal audio device with standard / basic settings and handling.... 2019....this is really curious...
Agreed this one's a dud for me, I'm sticking with hiby r6 pro or r3. The microgaps are absolutely insane to me, a $300 standalone music device can't play flac properly. At this point I'd recommend a budget android phone over this device as a dap.

I’ve been having a good experience with my M9 player save for one caveat, something I’m unsure whether has already been addressed in this rather voluminous thread, pertaining to the fact the folders on my memory card are not properly alphabetized by this particular DAP. I’ve occasionally encountered this dilemma in previous FiiO players and current firmware has yet to address the conundrum with this one.

Is there an apk available for Roon 1.6? I can't use Roon 1.5 with my core server.
Also, is it possible to login to a WiFi service that prompts you to put in a login password?
Dear friend,

You can install the es file explorer(http://fiio-file.fiio.net/Apps_on_M9_whitelist/com.estrongs.android.apk), after connecting to the wifi, launch es file explorer and access an Internet site e.g. google, it will redirect you to the wifi login page.
