I'm kinda sick of Fiio's app (latest version).
It's slow, clunky and the replay gain is a bit hit or miss
Poweramp places waaaay too many DSP's in the way and resamples everything.
Neutron is great but eats battery like it's going out of fashion
Unfortunately, you can't even get UAPP since it needs Google integration.
Does anyone know of another app that supports variable frequency and works with the M6?

I think about 10% battery consumption per hour with Neutron is still okay. And after all, the battery of the m6 is fully charged again in just under 90 minutes.

As far as I know you can install google play store on the m6. However, I didn't do it because I continue to use Neutron with M6. Other music apps just don't offer me this variety of functions. I don't want to miss it.

I just got an M6 mainly for bluetooth LDAC (since I have an iPhone), but also want to use it to connect my Hifiman Ananda BT and Shure Aonic 50 via USB-C, which works well EXCEPT for Masters files on Tidal. These tracks work fine over bluetooth, but not over USB. Any thoughts on this? Is there a setting I could change? Should I reach out to FiiO? Thanks!

Does your DAC support MQA decoding? If not, the USB connection may not work when playing MQA file.

The Ananda BTs have a built-in DAC; I am able to plug them in with a USB-C cord to my Mac Mini and can listen to MQA tracks. Are you saying that I may need a separate DAC in between the M6 and USB headphones? What about the M11 - would that have the same issue?

I was having tons of problems trying to download my Tidal playlists onto my Fiio M6 until I read on this forum that you really have to stick to the version available on Fiio's white list. Then it worked like a charm! The latest versions of Qobuz and Spotify seem to work fine by contrast.
