Just ordered an M3... Gonna arrive next week.
Hope it's gonna be a good replacement to my dead Ipod Nano 3G

I think you will be pleased with your SQ but maybe not so much on the UI if your used to Apple, mostly folders, filing and tags

I'm not so picky with that as I'm generally a shuffle play kind of guy but some insist on instant easy song access and at this point in the M3 firmware it is still a work in progress and HW limited I believe. I will say for what it is I love my little M3 get up and go DAP

It will sound better, be able to use more formats and have better battery.

Well Ipod Nano 3G used to have good 24 hours of audio playback too... hehehe but no more Itunes mishap.

Usually once I start play a song, I just let them shuffle all the way. or just choose next song. Not really a song picker. But I guess I need to set the folders accordingly like my playlist. Gonna be a real challenge to lazy me hahaha

I found if for sale here, but not available to be tested. I tested the X3 instead and I guess it sounds okay. The sellers and I have different tastes in music, so I guess I'll take a card with me next time. I just hope they have the M3 available for testing and comparation, but considering how small and light the X3 is, maybe I'll get the M3 if I like it enough,

I already got my M3. And wow.

I've been using Ipod Nano 3G as my player to go for 8 years (Sis's gift).
And my first listn using M3 made me go, "Is this how it supposed to sound? Wow my ipod feels so trashy now."

Indeed it's a good player to just play songs and let it shuffle play.

I never been able to differentiate different quality of audio files in my ipod, but it's very obvious in M3.

It's a great purchase. Thanks to this thread, letting me know such player at price of an ipod shuffle exist.

(I'm not an audiophile, just a girl enjoying listening to songs.)

Quite interested in this for gym, but torn with buying a speedo or similar cheap mp3 for its waterproof properties because I swim half the time....I know which I'd rather have though.
So my question is....in addition to the pending M5 does Fiio have any plans for a swimming edition?
I don't think there is much monopoly in that area....a few cheap swimming mp3 players are available, it nothing that shouts quality or his high resolution.

BTW, we have a new firmware for M3 and you guys should be able to download it tomorrow.

Excellent! I love my M3, but there are still some issues.

What does the new firmware do in terms of fixes, new features?

And to clarify, the latest up right now is 1.5, from what I can see, but James has said 1.6 should be available tomorrow, for M3.
